I put over 1000 hours into SA.

Over 800 to IV.

And to think V adds the good parts of IV and SA with even more awesome stuff (submarines for example) I cant even...

Need some fresh air.

Gonna on a different scale.

If it's anything like the RDR or MP3 gameplay series videos, this is gonna be pretty awesome.

Nothing gets me more hyped than a GTA game.

Same, there's something about GTA games.

To me no developer can match it but I can't put my finger on what it is.

I do hope we get to see some MP.

iirc R* said they had a whole other team at R* working on MP specifically.

I loved the MP in GTA:IV it needed to be seriously fine tuned though some playlist games didn't last very long but both RDR and Max Payne 3 shows me R* now understands how to make MP more interesting to approach from a player perspective RDR open world servers was a great step.

Meh! Not getting hyped. I have a feeling we'll be debating what was actual gameplay. I'd rather individual 30 to 40 second clips of each character walking/driving or something.

If you watched their gameplay videos for RDR, LAN, and MP3 you would know this isn't going to be an issue.

Just seen on twitter, that there will be even more on Wednesday (Multiplayer?) and GI will have some new details tomorrow as well.

ok this made my day. HELL yes!

i hope they won't spoil too much though, i want the game to surprise me. but please i want to see just a glimpse of diving!

I'm hoping it's like the Welcome to the Jungle, San Andreas trailer. Nothing but gameplay and chaos to a really great song.

Those weren't serious characters, but you did not do anything that stretched the limits of an open world game with any of them. Brucie, for as over the top as his personality was, gave you nothing but car hijacking missions. The guy shooting the video in the ghetto gave you drive by missions.

The missions in GTAIV -- regular GTAIV (and even the DLCs, although I think the DLCs were better for being shorter) -- were very run of the mill. San Andreas, while sure it had some crazy stuff like gimp suit sex scene (which was still pretty much only a "follow" mission) and the Green Goo jetpack mission, had a lot more mission variety than IV. Crazy characters gave you some zany missions that were great (IE, Mike Toreno's hijacking a fighter jet and taking out spy boats) but not the complete insanity of SR3.

I can't deny that the mission variety wasn't great in vanilla GTA IV, nor the fact that game was nearly as playful with its mechanics as previous installments. What I can deny, and I will do so vehemently and unreservedly*, is that the game was serious.

*Not really. I'll do it normally.

I liked the darker comedy in the cutscenes. Well, darker for the most part. Brucie was a nice throwback to the GTA III era.

"Expect to see large elements of footage taken from the tri-heist mission which was previously shown at preview screenings a few months back."

"Rockstar will be chomping at the bit to show off their new toy"

Interesting, source

Gotta admit. I'm hyped.

I really liked IV a few years ago and have spent my time off this past week with Episodes from Liberty City and I'm having a blast.

Really hope they tighten up the gameplay. IV was a big improvement for me from the PS2 games (which I felt were so janky they weren't worth playing without cheats) but I'm not a huge fan of how enemies react with euphoria. Hasn't stopped me from sinking more time into IV + EFLC than I did the PS2 games though and genuinely enjoying them.

Liberty City is showing some age already but it is still the most lively and busy open world out there.

Playing some GTA IV on the 360 in full hype mode.

I can't believe we're already so close to September- I just want to see some major customization options for cars and clothing, mixed with the shooting mechanics of Max Payne 3. I think the Trevor trailer also indicated that melee is definitely getting completely overhauled so that'll be fun to see evolve!

GAH! Excitement! And who knows how multiplayer will work!

If they're doing a series of these vids then MP will most likely have its own video.

Just imagine that the video begins with: "The gameplay you are about to see is running in realtime on a (PlayStation 4/Xbox One)."
