The Last of Us just got competition.

The Last of Us stands on it's own. It's in it's own tier.

I won't even think about TLOU when this comes out because TLOU has done what it needed to do. GTA V is another game in it's own league.

There's also been a huge focus on mechanics in the game, to make every aspect as fun and fluid as it is broad. Everything from driving and shooting, to tennis and bike riding, feels fun and responsive

Would be incredible if they actually got it to run that well on PS3/360. It looks fantastic for a console game.

Gunplay looks improved, though the sounds were a little weak from what I could tell... which is odd because vehicles sounded very good: those quads had an actual two stroke engine note. And choppers a big v-twin sound. Awesome.

Can't wait.

Lol, well it's a demo video, not a trailer. It's the same format they did with Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3 (I believe?).

well fuck me that looked like the most fun game ever. i will derive insane amounts of enjoyment out of this sucker, and will probably go back to it many many years from now. seems like such a behemoth of a videogame in every way.

was that a leg Trevor tried to flush? lol.

and holy SHIT, Franklin actually does have a dog companion during gameplay? that's probably my favorite feature revealed so far. just taking that dog around places is going to be amazing/hilarious (can you take him hunting with you?! swimming? etc).

dear god I've always wanted to play gta online. Is there any reason why it can't just be like DayZ in where you just drop into the world to do your regular shit and MIGHT run into folks?
I'd love to play co-op campaign with my buddies with the added risk of others trying to complete missions.

No it means like other AI NPCs in the game
They are doing stuff to and it isnt cool missions just random boring crap

The HUD looks a little too big and I'll be curious to see how well integrated the character switching mechanics are during action heavy missions. Seems like there could be much room for fuck ups, like switching to someone on the fly and they're stuck on a wall or something. Hope everything is smooth though.
