GTAV Trailer #2 will be released next week (November 14th)

Do people really care enough that they have to tease when the trailer will release? Just release the actual trailer when you're ready or don't talk about it, Take Two.

Dude, this is GTA.
Get outta here.

Side note: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was playing San Andreas yesterday and I was like damn, imagine this in HD with better controls.

The bare minimum they need to do is that but knowing Rockstar, they'll go above and beyond.

(of course no SF or LV but I don't care they have desert and countryside and that's all that matters)

9 days from now for no reason whatsoever, whoop-dee-doo. I'll set my alarm clock.

Edit: pardon my bitterness, I was expecting a trailer today, if not tomorrow.

R* should bring back the countdown thing they did for the first GTA IV trailer. I remember them actually running that for an hour straight late at night on FX.

They're both wrong but the American way makes more sense. Dates should go year, month, day. General to specific makes much more sense. If you leave the year off the American way is far more logical.

X-post:

As much as it sucks, it's a good move.

Pre-order hype last week.
Wait out the election coverage this week for GI.
Trailer next week.

Three solid weeks of coverage.

No it doesn't, specific fast moving information gets conveyed first (day) followed by increasingly more static ones (month and year).
You either go Japanese or European.

This is gonna be awesome. For two reasons:

- Finally media is starting to roll out about GTA V.
- Not actually being able to watch the trailer when the countdown timer has completed, because of R* website meltdown. *

* This is actually not really that awesome.

I was thinking about going on media blackout for GTA V, because I would want to know again how it feels to see a game in motion for the first time, or playing it for the first time and not knowing anything about it. Would that still be special like in the old days like with the NES?

Hopefully we will get multiple uploads on YouTube soon after :)

Forget that I am even referring to dates, what comes first in the series 01.02 or 02.01? International dating makes no sense.

EDIT: if specific fast moving information gets conveyed first as you claim then the time 10:34:09 means ten seconds, 34 minutes, 9 hours!? That is not how anything works! There is no logic to international dating.

Oh yeah. I'm sure that will happen.

I forgot a third reason by the way. I always love the explosion of posts in a GTA Trailer thread. Especially when not much is known about the game. I remember the San Andreas and GTA IV threads. So awesome.

The trailer almost certainly won't show any gameplay. At least not from the players perspective. A good compromise, I think.

Yeah you are probably right. The thing is. Unconsciously, you start building this hype for yourself, when you start to follow every little bit of news or media about a certain game. I think a media blackout prevents this, and gives you a nice fresh entrance into the game when you first play it. Maybe I'll really do this for a change.

True. Following all the information will build more and more hype, it also makes the wait seem longer. But R* is good at keeping almost everything a surprise.

While true, Rockstar North very rarely fails to deliver on the hype for me. GTAV looks to be exactly what I want from a new GTA so while it would be nice to have enough restraint to not watch the new trailer and read all the hands-on previews, I'm pretty confident that I'll still enjoy the absolute shit out of the game and enjoy the fun of the build-up to release.

The logic is that when you ask for the date, the most crucial information is (usually) the day, since it's what is important for your everyday life and changing rather frequently, the month( and the year) follow up as they change less frequently.
The same should apply for the time, not considering seconds (that are too fast and simply inconsequential), minutes --> hours.
Of course it's all bullshit as it's just an habit, cultural thing and it doesn't really change shit one way or the other, lol.

Don't want this to be the next wipe/tip/circumcision discussion though.

I can't wait for Thursday guys !!! Gonna replay San Andreas soon as its up on PSN.

PS: why is there always pointless arguments in every GTA thread lately?

So I hear they were supposed to originally release the trailer exactly one year after the first (Nov 2), so how does it get delayed over a week? Is it not ready?

it will be a long wait.

its gta. remember that time that they also did this for gta 4?
