I've never came so prematurely.

ps: I really need a zombie mode with zombie dogs and zombie wildlife fighting with eachother and me. I can just imagine the fun having a war between zombies and humans like you could have with mods on GTA 4 PC. That would be a game I'd never stop playing.

Normally I'd say it's played out but this game would be perfect for a RDR-esque zombie expansion, what with the mix of dense urban and rural environments.

I at least want to see people lying down, sitting on the sand and looking into the water. Instead of an empty ghost town-like beach.

The beaches in past GTA games were so sad, and beaches are supposed to be joyful places.

I loved Vice City but it's hilarious that 1/3 of that game's entire map is a giant vast empty beach. Game had to have been rushed.

Since they wanted us to see things in the trailer before reading about it in Game Informer, but were unable to release it because of the hurricane, is it possible that GI will make some changes to their article? What is GI's deadline for making changes before printing? Newspapers in large cities are printed and distributed within around 6 hours of final updates, so I'm thinking it's possible.

If there is something big to reveal, I think it would be much better to see it first in the trailer before reading about it.

Also, remember how much fun it is to drive a car head on into motorcycles? Now we'll get to do a similar thing in the water with boats and jetskis.

Still there was something magical about Vice City that even San Andreas couldn´t capture.

Maybe it was just me because I was really into the 80s at that time.

San Andreas was the better game, but Vice City was definitely the better location and time period. That soundtrack will never be topped by another game.

The art they released showed quad bikes. Fuck yes if they're in there. I'm thinking they will bring the fun back ith this.

Driving into San Fierro from the country side with Slow Ride playing in Truth's van beats Vice City in errrything.

I wonder what song the second trailer will use?

Using 'Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake' was a masterstroke it still sounds quite modern and yet has that buzzy feeling of it's era. How many devs just use whatever fashionable.

That's the thing about R* they could have been very obvious about the music but they look like they put a lot of effort into making sure the music on all the stations fits a particular mood for the player.

Like in GTA:IV riding around to Tuff Gong at night or listening to Vladistock during the day while racing from some cops.

Cannot wait unto we start getting radio stations samples.

Guarantee you'll be able to use bikes and boats.

Owning your own pet? Highly doubt it.

Buying houses seems perfectly reasonable, though it's tough to say right now with just the trailer and screenshots to go off of. Very well could be in.

With the beaches, I can easily see them being livelier. With each new GTA, the city feels more alive and believable than in previous games, so this could just be one of the many ways R* makes that happen.

i think the part in the first trailer where the dude is putting up a 'for sale' sign in front of his home is a hint that buying houses is in.

IMO, it represents modern economic times (ie. foreclosures).

yeah that was my initial impression as well, but i think it implies both. it would be annoying for the player if there's a 'for sale' sign outside a house but then we couldn't buy it. i think all the different cuts in the trailer imply whats going to be playable in game, including that shot of the outdoor gym along the beach implying working out is back.

Real estate should make a return as should owning businesses. Seeing how large the real LA is and how big this game is going to be I think being able to buy safehouses is a good move rather then giving us certain ones automatically. Buying one in Vinewood Hills would be expensive as hell I imagine.

They need to redesign the safe house concept from the ground up.
They were glorified save spots but with the advent of auto-save, they're irrelevant.

I'd love you to be able to stash weapons, drugs, money.
If you draw the cops there, they're raid your house.

Ahhhh the music of Vice City. Who could forget cruising your motor cycle in the sun, across Washington Beach whilst listening to Outfield - Your Love? Or driving in the rain through Leaf Links, listening to John Waite - Missing You.

Damnit Vice City, why couldn't your map be a little bigger and why didn't you have some countryside and rural areas? :(

I would love to store shit. Similar to Chinatown Wars.

Simple customization would be fun. Keeping outfits, weapons, etc on tap seems easy enough.

This needs to be reworked as well. Cycling through the clothes in GTA IV was just tedious. Also it would be nice if you could create your own outfits and save them. Like if you buy a shirt and a pair of pants, shoes, glasses, etc. And you like the way they all look together you should be able to save that as a custom outfit or something.

That's a cool idea.

It was tedious in IV but go back and play San Andreas.

Holy shit. So bad.

They should do something similar to Red Dead, where it shows it in a render or concept art style, except you can cycle through instead of choosing a set look.

K-Rose whilst driving through the countryside is one of my favourite gaming moments. There was so much road, it was ace.

I kind of want to see Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien in GTA V, mostly because of a Toyota advert that's on TV these days (in the UK at least) where a guy is driving his car, free from society and enjoying the drive. I think it could work well out in the countryside, but that's just me. It more than likely won't show up lol

Maybe do it like Motorstorm Pacific Rift did when compared to the original Motorstorm.

In the first Motorostorm, changing vehicles took five seconds each, which was incredibly tedious. The game had to load each vehicle model and pop it in before switching. In pacific rift, you'd see a static image of the cars and scroll through them, tapping up and down to switch skins and colors. If you so wanted, you could preview the vehicle in the garage and let the game load the model then.

Doing something similar for outfits in GTAV would make sense- maybe have your clothes laid out in a closet or on a bed? Pick a combination and hit X to preview?

They should also get, from Sleeping Dogs, the idea of saving various custom combinations of outfits.
So i can have my dirty jobe outfit, my elegant outfit, etc etc.

Also i hope they ditch the RDR/BoGT idea of complete outfits, because i like to mix and match, though i hope they'll have far more options than GTAIV (that didn't even have real sunglasses or hats).

I am, by the way, really curious if GTA V will make a similar leap from GTA IV as San Andreas did from Vice City. And I hope R* doesn't take too much out of the game, last minute, like they have taken some stuff out of GTA IV.

I just hope they'll come up with a decent control scheme. Rockstar loves making you mash the A button to get anywhere in almost every single one of their games, but that's the least of GTA IV's problems. I've been playing the PC versions of the Episodes over the last couple of days and I honestly don't think there's a worse shooter out there. When you're in cover there's quite literally a full One Mississippi count between you pulling the trigger and your character stepping out and firing a shot, and the act of him stepping sideways out of cover actually moves your reticle off target. You can play without the cover system, but then you have to deal with the aiming reticle freaking out whenever you get too close to a wall or have the nerve to go through a doorway.

With a RDR-style weapon wheel and regenerating health, no more 'hold a button to move faster than walking speed' nonsense, and the tried-and-true cover system from every other cover-based shooter out there we'd be looking at something really special.

Very sexy. I like that. I tend to make my own in Photoshop as well. Good work.

i found it on gtaforums, not my work. but yeah its an awesome wallpaper.

Nice, though it seems fair to post the source (GTAForums, i guess).
EDIT: Unless you did it, of course.

ah yeah my bad, the source is on gtaforums.

----------

anyhow, i hope the city in this one has hilly/steep roads like in san fierro of san andreas, or if not that at least a substantial amount of stunt attempt spots.

oh and another thing about the wanted system, i really hope you can now hide from cops, instead if just driving out of the wanted circle/area on the map. so many times in gta 4 i lost line of sight with cops and hid in a small alley or something and waited for them to give up, but the wanted level persisted.

I hope they remove the weapon icons from the HUD.

Less clutter in my beautiful world the better.

Hell, even give me the option to turn off the map/health ring.

This time around we need support for custom soundtracks (on console). Lol, cruisin to the Hotline Miami soundtrack. Epic.
