So recently I bought a Google card based VR headset from these guys, a company based in China and came across this:

http://www.gearbest.com/graphics-video-cards/pp_321087.html

A $99 GTX960, new...

From EZVGA, not EVGA, EZVGA.
Obviously asking for a lawsuit, but they based in China..

So this must be some kind of knockoff card, but then again who earth is capable of making a knockoff GPUs like this?

Now I'm curious though, how much can a knockoff GPU like this really bench?
Anyone have experience with these kind of GPUs?

Obviously not gonna buy one. since I don't feel like gambling and rather feel like saving for a VR ready card, but still curious.

Yeah they usually take a weaker GPU and slap a different name on it (from what I've seen of these knock-off brands).

It's a fake one. It says stream processors 48. The 960 has 1024. It's probably an older generation card hacked to look like 960 in bios.

How far back do we have to go to get a GPU with 48?
Hacking a bios, and making it "pretty" sounds more plausible than manufacturing them from scratch, but still.

Yep stay away. First Question.

does it support windows 10

Hello ryan,
Sorry, it does not support windows 10.

Super low consumption and calorific value.
For your calorie-concious PC build

(I looked up the non-obvious meanings of calorific; is it actually used for describing heat generation in the sense of components getting hot? Non-native speaker here, just curious)

Funniest thing I've seen all week.

A calorie is measured scientificially by the amount of heat produced when something (like food) is burned, so yeah, heat production. But sounds like somebody machine-translated that line above.

No windows 7 or 8 support, either.

Somebody with a Twitter tweet this at linustechtips or other tech YouTubers maybe we can get them to make a fun little video on this

OP dont listen to the people in this thread.

Take one for the team, buy it, post your experiences. It could be hilarious.

Really don't feel like waiting another 30 days, too many pc components already.
Also there's other amusing toys I have eyed.

Ones I don't mind when they break and ones that won't break my PC.

So this gearbest store only sell bootlegs? I'm getting ads from them all the time here.

No - they sell grey market originally-for-the-Chinese-market products. Some of that stuff is bootleg, I guess.

I bought my Elephone P9000 off there. There's some seriously good mid-range tech coming out for the Chinese home market at great prices.

Supports System: Linux,MAC OS X,Win 2000,Win 2008,Win vista,Win XP

Heck yes! I can run a GTX 960 on my Windows 2000!!!!!

Why hasn't anyone done this? :o
