I miss Abnett & Lanning run, that was some good cosmic stuff. Loeb's Nova is very very bad.
 
No one beats Dick Rider in the Marvel Universe in terms of having big balls and big heart. There isn't a selfish bone in his body-he would give his life and die from exhaustion rather than let something bad happen that he couldn't stop. He's probably still alive in the Cancerverse right now kicking the crap out of everything trying to find a way home.

I do feel sorry for the guy.
But at the point when he is literally transplanting the kid into the Marvel universe (badly)
He just looks like a sad and crazy old man who cannot move on.

At some point somebody has to say 'look Jeph, your work over the last few years has been goddamn awful, its time to stop'.

Loeb hasn't written anything good in at least a decade. It's a shame given how he used to be such a good writer, but I've given up on even checking out something with his name on it.

You can clearly see the difference in the OP between the new GotG (Iron Man scene) vs. the old Abnett and Lanning run (Nova scene).

It's really sad. I wish they would just cancel the new run and give the series back to DnA. At least the movie(s) will be based on their version.

Annihilus hasn't been shit since the 70s. It's his billions strong army of insect-warriors, the Annihilation Wave that was scary. Ricky Rider just snatched the remote control from Kim Il Jung of the Negative zone that's all.
 
How do the new GotG comics compare to the older ones? I read up until the end of the Thanos Imperative and haven't followed it since.

I'm very sure that Annihilus had Quasar's bands at the time.. that would've made him a very formidable opponent.
 
FEEL MY POWER!

I've only ever seen Nova in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom. Love his voice actor, and the swagger about the character. I hope he's in the upcoming movie.

You know I dont think I have ever liked anything that Bendis has ever wrote.

It always feels like he changes the characters to fit his crap stories, instead of writing the stories to fit the characters.
