Guerrilla Studios New Game - Horizon Hunters Gathering

That's how they bury any critique or honest opinion of the game. These comments all looks so plastic, you can tell that a lot of them (if not all) are from bot accounts. If someone do some investigative work on these accounts it should come to some interesting results. I just checked some and a lot them were created since october 2025 and have ZERO posts.

Also, from one of the accounts, first comment:

What I don't get is why companies bother with fake comments? I guess they're trying to overturn negative sentiment but when has that ever worked?

All they're doing is deluding themselves into sinking further into the sunk fallacy trap. When the sales numbers come out followed by the subsequent layoffs, they'll now be crying. Instead they should course correct early and often. Learn to bail early to minimize losses.

I'm in the minority and think this actually looks good.

That being said, I despise GAAS and won't spend a nickel on it. Hopefully it bombs and puts an end to this sad chapter in Sony's history that robbed us of half a gen's worth of real games.

I'm amazed by how the Horizon series gets more putrid looking with every new installment. Horizon: FW had Chipmunk Aloy, now we're getting this fucking turd.

Think back to the day everyone got their PS5. You sit down ready to open it and run your hand across the smooth glossy surface. Thinking about all the wonderment Sony surely has in store for you over the generation. Magic Insomniac innovation. Possibly an amazing new IP from Guerilla to pull you into a new and immersive world for 60 hours. Another surefire epic from Naughty Dog. A show stopping exclusive by From. Bend putting together some off the beaten path cool shit. Man... look how it all turned out. Insomniac is just a Marvel churning machine now, creative talent probably long gone. Guerilla used every person on the payroll to make this purple disaster. Naughty Dog is skipping the gen entirely. Sony will release a PS5 sku of Intergalactic, but it's not the way anyone reading this post is going to play it. From probably told them to close Blue Point when they offered the Bloodborne remake. Forgetting the hatchet job they did to DS. Bend got their entire effort put into the recycling bin on Herm's computer. What the fuck.

The graphics and animations look great. Combat could be fun, as it definitely looks better than the other Horizon games. I just don't think the gameplay loop will be engaging long term of repeating these tasks over and over again

I was hoping the game would actually be like Monster Hunter. Open World and long term progression with friends. At this point, I would just copy Helldivers 2. Just make a horde extraction gameplay mode. The rogue-like elements could work well in that scenario

Now now, that's not how we react here. Some actual nuanced and well thought out opinion?

Pff. Did you leave your pitchfork at home?

This is a thread about a live service game. You are meant to say things as "DOA", "Concord part 7" and "I'm looking forward dancing on the grave of the biggest flop of the year".

Also for the love of god post some gifs of a weird funeral or something.

While it could be fun, can't agree on the graphics or the character design.

Guess we'll see, but any reveal trailer that begins with an apology from the director isn't a good sign - it's just a sign of a lack of self-awareness of what players were hoping for.

Their twitter replies sound awfully close to those Asha gave on social media when taking over at team green.

The replies are pure A.i.sha. Then again, Microsoft seems to have a dedicated team/bots they marshal when it seems the narrative is going against them.

The same group also seems focused on scraping any obscure news outlet that gives or will give some of their games a bizarrely high score (seeing the "Sydney Daily Herald" give Avowed a 100/100 is a pretty good example).

Who do you guys think Sony expects to play this? The Killzone/Horizon audience? Fortnite audience? ARC? I just don't see where it expects to pull players from. Too fruity and try-hard for Killzone fans, not sticky enough for the flavor of the month / E-sports crowd.

I wonder how many more billions Hulst is allowed to blow before he gets the boot.
I'm not against the idea of GAAS if it's done right.

But they should try something new instead of forcing their premier single-player studios into it.

It's not just for astroturfing games with negative sentiment tho, I have seen the same obvious bot accounts on all the official X posts for that upcoming Expanse game too, which seems to have positive general sentiment.

It's ok, there's plenty of us who will bring 2 pitchforks to pick up the slack.

I doubt Sony's powerpoint presentations go any further than "young and new audiences", with a triple dollar sign beside it.

"PrOgReSsIvE" gamers, aka feminists, troons, and their little bitch male allies. The kinds of dipshits who frequent Bluesky essentially.

A more entertaining game is guessing which will be a bigger failure. Horizon hunters or Fairgames.
Probably Fairgames.

At least Horizon: Hunting Diabetes can be somewhat insulated from complete catastrophe because of the Horizon name attached to it. As someone who liked Zero Dawn, this franchise is getting artificially milked to the point where I'm basically done with it personally. It might get somewhat decent initial numbers (debatable), but I can see interest plummeting quickly ala Highguard.

Failgames doesn't stand a chance though. I think FairGag will be the next Highguard, but not on the level of Concord levels of disaster as much as I would love to see that happen.

I still don't see why Sony is so fucking stupid that they keep pumping out these GAAS games after canceling so many before they saw the light of day, Concord, and Highguard. That's not mentioning Marathon barely scraping up a million sales with Bungie's name attached to it, and the absurd amount of money spent on both acquiring them, and the development/marketing for the game.

Man. Killzone was a cool IP and Guerilla is a talented studio. Such a shame it's stuck doing this shite.
While this game doesn't look all that great. The mainline Horizon games are way better than Killzone. Now you might prefer Killzone but pretty much every metric suggest people prefer Horizon.
