Well... it not being an MMO relates deeply to its combat in that creating a fluid, impactful combat system is an easier undertaking when a) it is only meant to be applied in relatively controlled conditions with relatively small numbers of players, and b) the vast majority of a game's design focus centers around it rather than a huge number of other interrelated systems. The games that have even better combat systems than Vindictus or TERA, outright action or fighting games, typically don't allow for more than 2-4 players simultaneously, and the games with the absolute best combat engines are typically singleplayer-only.So Vindictus not having MM aspect relates to its combat how? It still has dungeons and raids and other MMORPG stuff but it's just instanced. Shame it turned out to be P2W. It was amazing in the beginning.
So there's no controller support if I'm running Windows 8? Pretty much the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger.
Anyone else on verizon fios(NY) and is stuck at 0kb/s?
Apparently it's a common issue for verizon users?!?!
Not sure if I should get a refund or wait for a few days but from what I read so far, its common occurrence.![]()
You mean for the client language or windows language?
Because I am stuck at 0kb/s when I double-click the client itself.
So I do not even have the client downloaded/installed. Just the Gw2Setup.exe that took 30 minutes to download!
Client Language. Is the Launcher appearing (should look something like this)?
Hmm. Some people recommend turning off AVG if you have it, but most of the recent comments mention Verizon specifically. I'll keep looking.
Well, to be fair it isn't exactly the game's fault that Verizon is causing issues.
Some folks might want to try this, it should work for the initial download, after that the language-trick might work: https://forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum/support/tech/Installer-is-not-downloading/first#post3987073
