Guitar Hero 2 + More = Confirmed

I just got a copy last week, and damn its addictive. I'm only past the second difficulty but its getting damned hard. I would buy a metal version.

Wheee! Maybe by then I'll be able to play Bark at the Moon on Expert. All I have left to do on that difficulty is Cowboys from Hell and Bark. Soon! SOON they shall TREMBLE in FEAR before ME!

Oh, I couldn't imagine them not doing a sequel. I'm not sure how well its been selling overall, but everyone who has seen this thing in action ends up buying it. Good to have confirmation though.

i know the producer was talking about making the sequel before the first game even hit shelves. the sooner the better. i can see a lot more bands wanting to get thier music in after they scoffed at being requested for the first one. hell, in one of the latest diary updates, it was revealed how much the Tool guys are addicted to Guitar Hero. i forsee good things happening!

The unbelievable news that I'm having trouble comprehending--a further "five or six" titles by the middle of 2007

My only request--a training mode, please. Let me isolate five bars of music and replay them until I get them right; let me slow down the song to half-speed.

Yeah I just caught that bit. Thats a heck of a lot of title to pump out between now and then. I'm all for it as long as they remain of the same quality production that Guitar Hero is. I hope this doesn't mean RedOctane will be brining in other smaller studios to do the work that Harmonix would normally do.

All that would mean was shitty covers, crappy arrangements and a degredation of overall product.

YES.

And YES to the news.

I would love to try a country version... Damn if we could get some steel guitar action in there, wooooo.

I don't like country, but I'd still seriously consider buying a country version. Everything else is just easy money from SickBoy for Red Octane.

Hopefully there aren't Canadian distribution issues like there were for the first game. (Now dealt with -- I've seen it at EB in stock and Wal-Marts lately)

I don't even have a PS2, but I'm seriously making space in my wallet for one to get it and the game when it comes out in the UK.

By the way--if by "Country Rock" they don't mean Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, etc., but stuff like Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and early ZZ Top: SOLD.

Hopefully I'll have finished BaTM on expert by then, but I'm still having so much fun getting thrown out at 95% everytime. :D

You know this is a good franchise when I'm mulling over whether or not I should get the country version.

Seriously. I'm not a fan of country, but I'll still be buying that and any other versions they decide to make.

Hopefully we'll get some Rush and Yes in GH2.

Kickass. Hopefully the price is right now that I don't need to buy the guitar periphial again

That's the only thing I'm concerend about in terms of PS3 backwards compatability. Maybe they'll have a USB atapter? I wouldn't mind paying $70+ for a PS3 version with a newer/better guitar though...

DREAMS DO COME TRUE

Instant purchase! I cannot wait to give them my money.

P.S. How about including a version of The PowerStation's "Bang a Gong"?

Indeed, I don't mind the milking at all. If anything, I hope it's pretty shameless milking, because while I don't mind the idea of good gameplay tweaks, I'd rather it play exactly like GH1 than feature "improvements" that I don't like.

Update the characters, stuff, venues, song lists, etc., just leave the core alone unless every change you make is inspired...

Fuck, I just want to see the first game be released in Europe already. Don't recall the exact date, but it better well be soon.

Kiri,

"The demand for Guitar Hero is so strong, we have needed to find a partner who can ensure a steady flow of stock nationwide – even when that stock will be limited at first," says Dave Noble, business development manager, RedOctane. "The UK is extremely important to us, and Gem has shown time and again it is perfectly positioned to manage supply through launch and beyond. We're making them as fast as we can – but they're selling out even faster."

"This is a key account for Gem," adds Dean Van-Velsen, marketing director, Gem Distribution Ltd. "Games like Guitar Hero come along very, very rarely – and we're delighted to have been confirmed as the distributor for the UK."

Guitar Hero picked up five awards at the DICE festival in Las Vegas recently – including the coveted "Outstanding Innovation in Gaming" accolade.

Guitar Hero will be published in the UK on April 7 2006, and throughout Europe a few weeks later, priced £49.99.

hopefully there's more guitar models available... both in game, and controller wise... like make an actual mini-blue firebird... sooo Rock!!! Maybe throw in some ESP's, Parkers, and Jackson's... maybe a fender or two to appease that crowd too...

Not while Gibson are the sole licensee.

Although at the GH official forums theres plenty of homemade V's, Warlocks etc to check out...
