Gundam PS3 Gameplay E3 vid.....WTF?!

you are on autofail.

Uh yeah. OH WOW THEY SWITCH YOU INTO RANDOM MODES WHILE YOU SLASH THINGS WITH TERRIBLE ACCURACY. Seriously I couldn't do that for longer than an hour. The only "cool" thing about it was Suda 51's touch with the enemies turning red and splitting.

You can't judge a game's graphics by watching a trailer of the opening CG.

CG? You hear that Team Ninja? Somebody thought your all in-game trailer was CG - awesome... :)

You missed the FFXIII trailer?

Nope, but the parts that weren't CG were just hi-res FF textures - no technical marvels or anything qualifying as next-gen there...

And that Samurai Champloo game is a disgrace to probably one of my favourite anime series of all time... of course I'm basing this just on videos on the net, and it did had some cool stuff going for it like when the enemies die, but overall it looked terrible - I continue to deny its existence...

I wouldn't play DoAX2 even if it was given to me. I'll get an Itagaki game when he decides to make real ones like Ninja Gaiden 2.

You hate breasteses. Which is the same as hating freedom.

But DoAX2 is?

So the spell fire is selected, lightning is displayed across the bottom, and the main character executes some kind of sweep kick from an angle that would make gameplay all but impossible and we're calling this gameplay? Has anyone from Square-Enix confirmed that this is actual real-time gameplay and not concept?

They also spelled blizzard incorrectly.

Yes they've confirmed its real time. Looks like they're going to Grandia route with the battle system, which means FFXIII >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FFXII.

SHH!! youll ruin it!!

if a photoshop of that exact HUD and those exact actions taking place youd get a thread with 10 pages of LOL SO FAKE

FFVIII looks incredible. I'm a total Xfiend and even I can admit that. Not only technically, but they've finally gone back to an art style/setting that I can dig. Good stuff.

Hope it comes out on X360 :lol

Link please. I find this hard to believe.

If you watch the HD trailer or pics you can see jaggies....they made their own in house engine for this, its called White engine and its already very impressive. The game comes out in 2007 so I guess it will even better by then ~_~

Kick ass work square!

At their conference they had a slide pop up saying some of it was real time. As has been mentioned, if you watch the trailer you can pick out the real time and CG parts. The pics I posted are part of the real time sequences.

where did you read that? I think all Final Fantasy's have great battle systems, I am more concered with the story aspect.

Seriously, I have never played any Gundam game in my life, but there are too many things wrong with this game/demo.

ANOTHER VICTIM OF THE SONY TARGET RENDER(TM)! :lol (I kid, I kid.)

Yes, it was as awful as this video suggests. And it doesn't even show the glitching enemies or getting stuck on the terrain.

To be fair, it is very very early.

I have no problem believing the PS3 can render those graphics in realtime. I have issues with calling that gameplay. I could be wrong, but it seems like cinematics to me. Of course, Final Fantasy has always been laden with lengthy cinematics, you might as well consider them gameplay. :)

Just to be clear the pics are from a battle sequence (because its like Grandia like SSX said) and the other real time bit was the girl walking in the forest....

the train stuff was cg

This could be from a cinema because it matches the Final fantasy 7 real time demo cinematics

BTW it should be noted that SO FAR Square Enix hasn't released any CG pics of any of their next gen games...

Final Fantasy XI on 360 was obviously real time....their new MMORPG for PS3 and Vista was real time and they only released real time shots of that...same with the FF7 tech demo and FF13

They didn't release any pics of FFCC Wii because that was obviously CG...also with Final Fantasy Versus 13 they made clear that it was CG

Yes because anytime screenshots of a game are released they are in sequential order like a movie. Watch the video.

That's all in one screen! :lol

Isn't the first pic you posted CG? Half the trailer was CG.
This is Square we are talking about here. They always have more CGI in their games than gameplay, that's why Blue Ray is perfect for them.

Read the post again. They clarified that Final Fantasy Versus 13 was CG while bits of FFXIII were real time. Only the first train bit was CG while the fighting in the futuristic prison or whatever and the part where the girl is walkin in the forest was real time. The pictures they released are from the real time part and not the CG part...

Poor reading skill FTL

Its pretty obvious that you haven't played any of their games...good trolling though

did anyone know they can boost along the floor in the game? it makes you move a lot faster, and actually helps up the speed of the game for those complaining about how it was slow.

i found how to do it by accident -- its actually not an obvious way to do it. made it a bit more fun to chase after the sparse amount of enemies on the map.

the view angle is pretty bad though, i must say. i hope there's a far away 3rd person like in all the other mobile suit gundam games they made.
