Guys who use two monitors at home

After using 2 monitors for about a year I've recently been thinking 'I could do with 3 monitors' xD I simply don't have the room though. I'd need a bigger desk.

For professional use, I definitely need two monitors. At home, I have two monitors. One's a high latency "pretty image" I use when I watch stuff. My main is the lowest latency monitor I could find, which I use for gaming.

I don't like multitasking, like watching something and doing something else. It's just depriving both experiences. I focus on doing one thing. So don't use it to deprive a series watching experience. I use mine to keep track of more stuff, depending on what I do.

I'm now multiple monitor GAF! I'm loving it. Does anyone know how to change the number of the monitor in windows? I've already changed the primary monitor, but for some reason my new monitor is listed as #1 and my old monitor is #2.

I use three actually. Both at work at office and at home. I'm a web programmer (and indie game developer in my spare time). I use the monitor in the center for my main editing of code/etc. Left monitor for the website I'm working on, so I can view what I'm editing more easily. Right monitor tends to be used for social/extra stuff to keep it out of the way. But a lot of times I use it to place documents/stuff to do/databases on it to make progress easier.

I can't imagine just using one monitor, seems weird.

One is the main while the secondary is for stuff like twitter or other apps. It's less hassle than constantly switching windows

I use mine for video editing.

I have a Samsung that I have boosted a little bit (higher gamma, higher pedestal) and then a larger Apple monitor that was gifted to me from a friend with more typical, deeper black levels. Along with the usual waveforms, this lets me get a good idea of what my work looks like to most people on their phones, TVs, and computers and what visual information might be present on brighter screens.

If you have Nvidia control panel its simple in there? Do you have Nvidia based card?

I forgot I took a picture recently to show my friends I was in Titanfall beta. this is how I usually roll. When I'm gaming I generally use my mac air to browse between rounds etc.

My current desktop setup at home:
30" as my main work/gaming monitor with a 24" portrait on the side for web browsing and other secondary tasks.

I doubt I'll ever go back to just one until there's a solid 39" 4K monitor out

I currently use an older laptop with Ubuntu to run my second monitor. I then use Synergy, which is a keyboard/mouse sharing program to switch between monitors (control of each computer). By default you can just drag over but I prefer keyboard shortcuts to avoid switching while gaming.

I find this preferable to using both monitors on a single PC in order to avoid having to run games in windowed mode (to use the second monitor) and any decrease in performance. Of course, I have an older laptop which wasn't serving a purpose.
