GW2 Gaf, what's going to be your main class?

What? Really? Sheesh I guess I'm going norn warrior then.

The best advice I can give you is to play whatever class has the most fun playstyle to you, classes are bound get to buffed/nurfed all the time.

I still can not choose my main, I didnt have much time to play in betas and all the classes are pretty fun to me.

I played a Guardian in all of the weekend betas and will probably continue to do so upon release. It's fun being ultra tanky in sPvP and watching people try to kill you while you deny points.

Thief. Worried a little since it's being said it's one of the weakest classes.. but oh well.
Take it the good way:

I'll probably play megacasually, so I might as well level both (Thief and Warrior) at the same time.

I'd be okay with that.

Ranger for me as well. I've always ALWAYS have played a melee class since Diablo 2. I figured I'm going to switch things up, try ranged physical dps then a elementalist after that.

Guardian, though that thief picture makes me want to play a Thief.

Oh is it? Didnt know that. :\

If you're picking ranger because of range... don't. Every character should have good range options that about equal each other (whether or not that's balanced correctly who knows). Basically pick ranger if you like the skills and pet mechanic.

guardian. usually play spell casters but non really clicked to me. i probably roll a mesmer alt though eventually.

Yeah, that's actually why I wanted it. I've also never used a pet class and I like being able to have the upper hand on soloing harder things than the average solo player would.

Don't think it'll give you any advantage in soloing. Pet's don't have any sorta taunt/aggro mechanic I believe.

Are you saying I can use a bow as my main weapon with any other class? lol That sucks if true. Why would they do that. I will probably change then, because I am not really liking the ranger abilities. :|

Yes. Warrior rifle is considered really really powerful. No class is confined to melee or ranged. They can do either.

Actually, they hold aggro really well. Of course if they're up against a Veteran or Champion, they get take down like little bitches.

Longbows can only be used by Warrior and Ranger, and each has different attacks associated with it. So no, not every class can use a bow.

Ah didn't test pets out in PvE after they got fixed.
Yeah, they were fixed. My ranger soloed very well thanks to the pet catching most of the aggro. And with 'Heal as One,' you can sort of refine how well they hold up against stuff. Works well.

Warrior, Guardian or Engineer.

Got a warrior and guardian to lv20. Love rifle and axe warrior. Engineer just looks so interesting.

When I played the guardian at the early BWE's it seemed like i took less dmg, but at the later BWE (when they changed the minimap) it seemed like i died quicker. Maybe it's not that I took more dmg it could be that a dealt less dmg to the monsters.

I have not played PvP at all.

Elementalist as its a safe choice and i liked the attunement switching mechanic and summoning weapons. I may level as a mesmer as a crafting character waiting for fixes to come.

Minus Ranger and Necro. Don't like Pet classes.

Warrior > Guardian > Engineer > Thief > Elementalist > Mesmer
