This game sounds like CashWars, which I played about 8 years ago and it was tons of fun. Just made a Hackcess account; my name there is Danthrax. Thank crap I didn't have to throw a number on the end or some such thing.

sell mhz until you can upgrade your vault. MHz isnt really important until you have tons of infections, getting tons of credits per tick, and are away from the game for long periods (Hence need to fend off as many attackers as possible). Aside that it really doesnt do too much.jersoc said:

I also upgraded my mhz to a level-3 Prescott and my kbps to a level-2 Dialup 56k. The 56k was the best I could afford after getting the Prescott; I needed SOMETHING to attack with.
So should I upgrade my vault (level 0) next, or my virus (which is still a basic Petty Javascript)?

I'd recommend vault first otherwise you will end up with credits but no defense = no credits.

Vault first and then attack. Just make sure you always upgrade enough so all your remaining money will fit inside your vault and also look for players whose overall rank is higher than their attack and defence (when attacking them). The virus will be important later but for now just focus on earning money from raiding other players and upgrading your connection speed.Danthrax said:

I have to keep reminding myself that I don't need to spend all my cr anymore now that 25k is safe.
I should probably boost my Kbps soon, I keep boosting my Mhz in fear of retribution. It has gotten a bit skewed.

So after reading through this thread a bit, I've now realized that 300cr/attack is like, NOTHING. :lol I apologize for my ignorance. How are y'all getting like 30k per attack? Are you just attacking people in the top 200? Seems a little risky, especially considering how low-level I am...

If you want to upgrade your virus then don't forget you can sell your other hardware to make up the cost. You could also try upgrading your vault this way and leaving your account overnight for you credits to build up.evilpigking said:

Wow I can see the dangers of not building up the safe quickly, just ripped someone for 30k something like 70% of his credits it said.

No reason not to other than more targets. I've only been hit 9 times and 6 of those were pre-clan. 3 since for a total loss of 207 cr and 15 comps.
Edit: Oh yeah, this thread has boosted me ~.03 posts per day

I really don't mind. I was actually thinking about compiling a list of guys in the top 200 or something with low defenses. Or if people could chronicle their numbers and what not.
