Half-life 2 using Wiimote???

I'm sorry, but Scarlett Johansenn has the face of a cow. Just like Angelina Jolie wears a John Voigt mask. These are undeniable truths.

Shit, I thought I was the only one unable to be attracted to either of these people.

DAMN KIDS DON'T KNOW WHO JOHN VOIGT IS!!! They don't KNOW what I SEE!!!

This is great stuff! :)

I just can't imagine how many fps I will play on my PC with the Wiimote.... greatness....

I can guess for me... 0

I'll never waste time playing anything on PC. Loving the heck out of my 360. R6 FTW! Gears too.

Half life 2 on Xbox sucked. No im not trolling, but we know it wouldn't run well

HL2 sucked on the PC. Stuttered so badly I couldn't play it, despite over a gig of fast RAM and one of the best vid cards at the time. After that, no Valve for me ever again.

Doesn't look like it works very well. But it seems he just hacked it to work with the motion sensors alone (and not with the infrared emitter bar, which would make it work a whole lot better).
I agree. It is a great idea though. I still think that a WiiMote and an analog stick offer better fps controls than two analog sticks. If they could fine tune the controls players might not even miss the mouse and keyboard.

It's still a bitch if you want to make a quick turn with it.

I wonder why they aren't trying to play half-life with the Nunchuk attached? You should be able to come pretty close to the keyboard/mouse combo and have it be all wireless.

ControlMK will map the commands if it is recognised, I wont have my nunchuk until Friday, so I cant check until then.

I've just gone through fast reading the thread, so sorry if I missed it, but is all this stuff Linux only? Does it work on Windows?

ZOMG how!?@$!?$
I wonder if they could program wiimote to work with ps3 and then program games for it. lol
maybe in linux!?@$!?$

The sensor bar doesn't do anything - just emits light. The wiimote is doing all the detection. Same with the nunchuk. So all the info from any inputs (wiimote, pointer, nunchuk) will be coming down the same bluetooth stream from the wiimote. Just a case of working out what each bit means.

(just meaning wow they did it really quickly thats leet)

Windows.
If you look at the first vid, its HL2 running on XP on a mac :)

But if you get a bluetooth dongle and glovePIE, you can play around.
Its far 'from there' at the moment. But the potential is huge.

Give it a few weeks and it will be fantastic.

Sorry to necro the thread, I wanted to continue the discussion of GlovePIE for Wiimotes on XP.

Has anyone managed to get any decent basic-NES-style joystick emulation working for the wiimote? I would like to use my wiimote horizontally with a few games, but I haven't been able to get it working, despite tests with other scripts working fine (The WiiSound script, etc).

It doesn't help that I can't test joystick config.
