Crap. I knew this kind of crap would happen. If it is not today it will be next week, but before the 25 some asshole will have spoiled the game to many fans by posting the ending. Time to leave the internets.

edit: looking at the pic. Is as if they were saying "fuck you Halo fans, we got yer gamez."

Relax. This won't happen on GAF. Just stay clear of Halo threads. The mods here are super-strict with this stuff.

The way somebody spoiled the game to me last time was also in a forum I trusted, it was not a Halo thread, it looked like a simple GTA:SA thread, and then some asshat committed account suicide... ho gosh, I still have nightmares.

Yes, I'm sure with all the alarm over software piracy and broken street dates, Microsoft would send their largest title ever out to retailers a month early so they don't miss the launch date.

Shipping is bad, but its not that bad.

Fake. "Common sense" is a game I wish some people would play more of.

When the real copies go out, I daresay you'll see more than one location posting pictures of them within the same 12 hours.

I'm guessing they're shrink wrapped so that people don't open the tins or slide them out of the sleeves, that sort of thing.

Edit: Oh, and when it's real, you'll definitely, definitely see pictures of the discs too, just to rub it in.

And they aren't even playing it. Those are their gamertags, and they appear to be playing a mixture of Two Worlds and Gears. No Halo 3.

I dunno man, remember MS have to ship 60 billion of these things to achieve Bungies total world domination, that has to take at least a month.
 
Most likely fake:

1. Why would they ship this early?
2. I worked as a EB manager a while back and every CE game from MS shipped in very specific long box with orange stickers that you had to cut through to get at the game.

When you see those long boxes with the street date stickers on them, then you can believe it.

I worked at EB during the launch of Halo 2. We received our copies of the game at least a few weeks (I want to say about a month) before the release. Our manager was an anal POS though. We couldn't open one and play it on our demo unit. Bastard.
 
I really hope this isn't true. I enjoy reading gaming sites / forums and go go without them for the rest of the month would kinda suck.
 
When they ship Halo 3 to retailers, anyone hiding from spoilers is fucked. Get ready for a month of avoiding the internet.
