Since when is blue a particular Halo like Background?

Orange has been in most of the Halo images I see.

The title screens and menus in both games have always been blue. Coupled with the white (or light blue) text/background images, in-game tech drawings etc. The Halo 360 theme follows those guidelines as well... as is the logo.

Orange? Halo? Wha?

I have an out! I said when Bungie released a Halo 3 faceplate I'd buy one. That's an image from Halo 2.

halo.bungie.org is running a contest, with prizes from Bungie: make a cool Halo-related faceplate design, get one of two prototypes of their faceplate, which otherwise comes out in October.
