I don't know which to get. I have the legendary pre-ordered but the LE tin is very nice and it's a lot cheaper. The legendary is limited and collectible and I like the black cases but the helmet doesn't look so good to me.

Limited steel case? I wonder if there is a normal green DVD case inside of it, if it's a FF12 style special job, or how it even compares in size to the regular 360 game cases.

Helmet still looks pretty crappy and chintzy in the production model. I've seen better reproductions on cosplayers (who made full-size helmets, no less). The one here doesn't really look like the right shade of green and the texture/luster is all off.
I still considered getting the Legendary version for the extra discs but meh, I watched the Halo 2: LE disc once and never bothered with it again. Somebody will rip the contents of the extra 2 dvds and put them on YouTube or something.

Ugh, after seeing the limited's pictures, i'm not sure I want that either. what the hell.
why can't they have quality packaging?
if the tin is half as cheap as it feels at the store for limited + those rubber nibs + not a real case inside of it im very disappointed . I kinda wish it was just like Halo 2's or Lost Planet's metal case - or even pd0. at least those felt sturdy and bad ass... this just looks dumb/awkward.
now i'm sad because I kinda want standard.

Man I really don't want the collectors if it's with those stupid rubber nubs. They either don't hold the disk in place or their so tight they start to crack the disk.

I'm getting the legendary for the extra content. Surely I'm not the only one. The helmet is sort of cool I guess, but I really want all the bonus stuff, like the expanded beastiary and the remastered cutscenes and commentary (!!!).

Man if only every game did it like GoW II (at least how it was handled in America): one version, no fuss, no muss. Everyone gets the making ofs, interviews, etc. Just one 'two disc edition'.
