The best part was this, if half my games in arena are objective then I'm happy enough (coming from a hardcore CTF/Bomb player). Hopefully it's more flag and less KOTH though given the history of Arena style play oddball and KOTH are going to feature heavily.

7. Why is there no dedicated Capture the Flag playlist under the "Arena" (not the playlist Team Arena) given that CTF has always shown to be a very well supported and desired playlist?
We don't have a dedicated CTF or Team Objective playlist at launch, choosing instead to include objective modes as part of the core Team Arena playlist that features the best modes from across Arena. Currently team objective modes make up 54% of the play in Team Arena (not including Breakout, which features a neutral flag as a secondary objective). CTF and/or Team Objective are things we will likely offer as a rotational playlist and if we see strong interest from the community (consistently high population), we may graduate to a persistent playlist.

I haven't really been following Halo 5 development, but the few trailers I've watched have been awesome. I'll say I would have preferred some of the original music score to be put in instead of Muse. But overall it was a great looking trailer. I'll be picking this up for sure. Looks like a lot of fun.

My Halo knowledge consists of just the games and I wonder if there's anything else out there that I should look up on before this game comes out. Don't have time to read the books, but if there are quick recap videos or anything like that, thanks.

Halopedia is your friend. They have summaries of the books.

Fall of Reach will give you a backstory to Chief, Halsey and Blue team.

The three Forerunner books. I'm just assuming the Didact is involved still. They will also clear up Halo 4 a bit if you were confused by the story there.

I would say those are the big 4.

What did you know about Noble team for Reach? What did you know about the Covenant or Halo rings or Spartan 117 for CE the first time? Basically nothing.

Marketing is to pique interest not explain things in detail. I imagine your reaction is to find our more not through your hands in the air and say "who the hell are all these Spartans now?".

There seems to be a fair bit of this with this game, which is somewhat understandable due to 4's problems with explaining things in-game, but yeah, a lot of people seem to be treating an advertising campaign called "Hunt The Truth" not as an inducement to find out more but as proof that they're being kept out of the loop.

Maybe it 's because this is a sequel picking up after a clear break in action, compared to the more straightforward flow of the earlier titles (although even they had some pretty big gaps)? Anyway, as far as something like Blue Team goes, I can understand wanting to know more, but not being concerned or confused. It doesn't take a lot to establish that some soldiers go a way back. "What'sa matter, ONI got you pushing too many pencils?" Done. "All this Chief being a dead traitor stuff is confusing!" It's the plot of the game, not assumed knowledge. You're meant to uncover the truth as you play.

It's weird that the Hornet isn't that vehicle. It seems like an obvious inclusion, but I guess they didn't see a purpose for it yet.

The sixth Halo 4 mission, with the Pelican, is one of the worst Halo mission ever, imo.

I loved the Falcon and it kind of made up for the fact that after so many Halo games we still can't use the Pelican in multiplayer, as unwieldly as it may be. Sure the hornet was awesome but the Falcon was just incredible and not OP, more of a transport.

Totally bummed out we don't have an aerial vehicle for UNSC (yet). Hell i was keeping my fingers crossed for a Vulture but that was a longshot.

The combination of art and tech, and obviously it all being in a universe that I'm such a huge fan of, really makes this game come to life visually in a way that other games in the same genre simply do not.

LOL. We west coasters suffered enough during midnight launch events for the past 10+ years. You lucky east coasters got to play Halo 2, 3, Reach, and 4...(along with every other big game from 2004-2014) three hours earlier than us.

We should all get equal treatment and play a whole day before just like the Aussies (I think it's Australia).

Question: Since we saw the prophets bane featured as a legendary item in arena (public beta), does that mean the legendary weapons such as the SPNKR and M6D are also allowed in customs/arena?

In their Forge coverage, they mentioned that their engine supports shared assets.
I would assume it's technically possible to implement any weapon/vehicle in any game mode in the future, if it's not supported already.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we see Campaign characters show up as special events in Warzone.
