Halo 5 will not have Voting or Veto system

I don't think its fair to call him hostile after multiple posts slanting him in such a manner. While I also think no voting is great, not having the freedom to play your favorite map blows as apparently there's no server browser.

This isn't as restrictive as say Splatoon, but it still blows if you have a favorite map you really want to play but end up rotating to the ones you dislike most.

Veto system: People veto regardless, "Vetoooooooo, come on vetooooo". Everybody vetoed just because they could.

Voting system: People play the same 3 maps over and over because they know they're the most comfortable/good at it.

This is the best decision for a Halo game. Halo is not Splatoon, not Mario Kart, or w/e else you want to compare it to.

A post saying "343: lets fuck up halo more" doesn't really scream thoughtful post that can ignite constructive conversation.

The B and how slow it is is the reason i dont play it anymore.

That and Halo3 votes all the time.
First Off, the B button press is that off putting? Really?

Second, I can't speak to your experience but my experience is that in its current state finding a match isnt any longer than it has ever been since Halo 2. Voting does slow things down and I hope they scrap it.

Third, people don't vote Halo 3 all the time. Almost every time I play people gravitate toward Halo 4 and it causes me serious anguish. I would fucking love it if people voted Halo 3 more often. I acknowledge that this is my personal experience and perhaps it varies dramatically.

I am so happy about this... As one of the few that prefer AR starts to BR starts, I feel community voting sucks because i never get to play an AR game...

Yes it is that off-putting. Were not in 2004 where long matchmaking times should take this long, especially when you play other games today that get you into games in literally seconds. And if you go in BTB, its halo3 all the time as soon as it shows up.

All guns are actually useable and strong thanks to the balancing and removal of dual wielding. If AR start is really your only issue with the lack of voting, don't worry.

Besides, they're all back to being power weapons, benefit is is that unlike last time, the starting weapons are actually good too.

Should treat it like MK8 voting, everyone gets a choice and random select from those choices. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but you will get your pick eventually. Also use a cool down so maps aren't repeated back to back.

I agree you just can't spawn and camp with ar starts.

Right. And it promotes spread-out map movement. People immediately rush power weapons and powerups at the beginning of a match with BR starts. With AR starts there are those who run BRs and those who run power weapons and powerups. It adds an element of risk and reward.

This. The AR is decent, the pistol is strong. The reason for BR starts in previous games was that you needed to spawn with a weapon that would allow a player to defend themselves at all ranges without being an outright power weapon, and only the BR fit the bill. Now that the AR works at closer and super close, the pistol at medium and long, we don't need to spawn with BRs every time.

I never understood the mentality people have to just play the same map endlessly.

It's super irritating because the mentality is so prevalent that some great maps get overlooked.

MCC has got over 100 maps. I've played maybe 15~20 of them. Every now and then I get surprised when I play a game on a map I haven't played on before.

Yes. You get it sir. BR is a great option with a little range but not everyone should have it all the time in a normal arena playlist. BR starts on BTB maps are no big deal to me.

In the latest videos I've noticed that they removed the announcer guy saying when power weapons will spawn. I hope its gone forever

If its like the beta where you can stay in the same server, then map rotation is all you need.

Hopefully the horrors of the MCC will be left behind....

If you dont understand what I mean it doesnt mean its a shitpost

I meant the whole game as a new direction, CoD players will like it now

Understand.

What new direction?

This is probably, the least COD like Halo since Halo 3.... In terms of gameplay, the similarities between the two franchises are pretty much all aesthetic... Even Sprint (which was never a COD exclusive) is balanced in a way that is unique to the Halo health system.

In Arena, All of the COD style mechanics are gone (kill streaks, load outs, XP unlocks with advantages), and halo staples have returned (fair starts, weapons/power ups on map, map control)... If you can watch a halo5 match and then say that it has a similar flow to a COD match, then you are either insane or shit posting

You come into a thread about halo 5 veto/vote, when 343i's stance on the matter mirrors Bungie's Halo2 stance, and claim that your distain is due to some new direction on the matter...

Nah, that still makes it take too long to get into a match... You gotta wait for everyone to vote, then wait for everyone to load the map... Just let the system pick a map and game type, and it starts loading everyone in right after the match is made...

Yes!! This is awesome news.

One of the main reasons I hated the voting system in the MCC was people voting for Lockout and Valhalla 24/7.

Nobody in the Forge community prefers Halo 3 Forge over the later Forges.

Actually go back and use it.

Pick up an object and witness it act like and earthquake is happening, then suddenly shoot off into the sunset.
