Halo Infinite Map size?

Anyone have any idea on how big the section of the halo will be?
The woodland area we have seen so far looks kinda small to be the only section,

However on this comparison below that some reddit user did , it looks rather big.
Does it look accurate?

No one but 343i knows for sure. But, a larger map doesn't equate to a better map. In fact, I'd argue a smaller, more streamlined, more tightly paced map would suite Infinite a lot better. However, if 343i built an entire game with one biome and one area, they're gonna be taken to task for it.

There are numerous Biomes, 343 confirmd that months ago in one of their presentation update things.

Also the Youtuber who leaked the Craig easter egg said the map was 'absolutely huge'.

Since its near curated slices of the entire map I dont think its all that relevent.
The game isnt openworld so even comparing it to the AC Odyessy map is kinda silly.
I was under impression that it will be multiple open worlds.
Yes thats what it is.
There isnt an overworld so to say, you get multiple slices of open sections.
Which in my books is better than one giant map Ubisoft style.
As you enter each section I imagine things feel fresh again.

Halo Infinite isnt open world? *cough*

Technically all games are "open world", its just that some are bigger then others.

The metal halo columns could seperate several large areas. I wonder how you travel between them though.

No it isnt not by the same definition one would use to describe Far Cry or Assassins Creed anyway.
You play in multiple open sections of an overall map with main missions being directly curated sections.
You cant drive from one end of the map to the next like you can in "open world" games, each open slice is basically its own level.

By whom?

Far larger than you might otherwise think due to the verticality. It isn't just a wide world, it's a very high up and far reaching one also.

I dont know if the Biome shown is the only biome in the game. I wonder if this is in the game or they removed it?

If that qualifies as "mountainous highlands" then it's certainly in the game as one of the "sub-biomes" But I don't have any issue at all with what they're showing us so far. You go from epic space battles (way more epic than any we had in Halo CE) to then down onto a Halo, just like Halo CE. While on that Halo there's a mountain of objectives and story based missions, which will take us all over the ring, inside caves, forerunner structures, banished outposts, camps and strongholds, potentially other banished ships, we'll face random patrols, and I'm assuming we will run into important and named human allies as well.

I'm just ready for this new Chief adventure already. Can't wait to see what this weapon is all about, what's up with Cortana, what goes down with this pilot, and what the Banished and the new threat, the harbinger, are up to, and where it will leave the Halo universe at the end of the game. And top of my list is Atriox. How does he come into play?

no idea how big the map is, but I can't wait to find out. Hopefully it's a we'll designed area and not just big for Big's sake.

All we do know is that the previews are only 4 hours of the game. And only one section of the map (there are 4 apparently). Atriox I would imagine will be in the sequel as Escharum is the big bad in Infinite.

He's def not the biggest threat shown imo. He's one of the bigger threats, but there's a threat even beyond him shown in the Campaign Overview trailer.

The first 4 missions are pretty damn unique. If you can stomach seeing some of this before release, have a look at why the level variety in this game will be the best in the franchise's history. This whole level is 343's best work ever, nothing else in the entire Halo universe of games match just what I know to be in the first two levels of this game. if the game opens that way, how insane will the rest of the game get? And of course they've saved some major surprises for Zeta Halo, I'm sure.

I'm really impressed with what I'm seeing here, sound is incredible!

Dont missions take place on different sections of the ring?

Not every mission is on Zeta Halo as we have learned, but the clear meat and potatoes takes place on Zeta Halo, Every part of this game just looks so damn amazing based on the footage.

I don't think the "biomes" will differ all that much from what we have seen so far. If there would have been any other ones they wlikdzhabe shown it in a trailer

I smell boring open world desigj

Right!? Shit is so fucking impressive. I've been one of the biggest cheerleaders for this game, and I can say confidently that mission blows me away in a way I hoped for, but was never expecting. The transition between gameplay and cutscenes are also simply flawless. Those story scenes. Halo storytelling has never looked this good. Was not expecting scenes this powerful in their visual storytelling. It's crazy well done and polished. This new engine clearly allows 343 to get a whole lot more creative, and it definitely shows. My insane expectations for this game have been far exceeded, which is crazy cause I had some high ass expectations.

if only there were Campaign previews out there that talk about how well they've executed on the move to semi open world…
