Um nope, you need to play at least 7 games a day before earning more XP w/ this system. The daily challenges awarded 100 XP before, not 50.
Though with easier challenges I think I do like this system more.

I have mostly played on PC for the past 8 years. But used to be a sweaty controller player competing in cod/halo. With literally years of not using controller much, I'm much better with controller. And I'm not bad with mkb (top rank in csgo etc). I think at lower ranks it doesnt matter. But from diamond upwards you're going to get seriously punished if you aren't an absolute GOD with mouse. Being consistent with a BR and finishing off oneshots is a fucking bitch compared to controller. So much easier to be consistent which is what halo is all about. I would never use mouse unless I'm on the exclusive mkb ranked playlist. It's fun when you know you are on an even playing field but when I'm getting consistently 4 shot by a controller on mouse, it's too annoying to stick with. I will say it's probably the best game to have tried to balance mouse and controller, so props to 343 for that.
Overall, I'm fucking loving halo infinite. It's the first halo...ever? That's had legit good ranked rules on launch. Even casual isn't quite as shit as casual in old halos used to be in terms of balance. Just having a blast with it right now.

The second easiest weapon in the default sandbox being close to the best choice in most scenarios is a bad thing for the game point blank. Halo is all about skillgap, and the AR rn is only slightly more skill intensive than a needler.
It needs a damage reduction and to have more of a delay when swapping to it. The fire right into a melee right into firing for a quick kill is not good for the game, it takes 1/10th of the skill of a melee followed by a headshot from a magnum/ BR.
Better playlists existing is no excuse not to massively improve other playlists.
The magnum having a couple more bullets means you can actually kill 2 people with it reliably with good skill, and would be very nice.

The Needler and AR exist so new players and low skilled players stand a chance. My Bro is a returning player and is struggling to adjust and they are his go to weapons for a reason.
They are fine as is IMO.

My only complaint weapon wise is i don't get the commando nerf, shit is trash now, loved it in the flights.
Collision need to be turn on.
The sandbox is the best its ever been. You know 343 done good when the communities main gripe is the battle pass.

It's true, I hit Diamond by virtue of being top of the Kills scoreboard each placement match, I am not a Diamond player at all

Why is there no credits in the battlepass? In other F2P games like Warzone or Fortnite the battlepass is full of the currency you use to pay for it. Like in fortnite you pay 950 vbucks and get 1500 back and I think in Warzone you get 1300 back with this you pay 1000 credits and get 0 back?
The whole point of the battlepass is your paying for cosmetics, but you have to put in time to earn them so they give you the currency back if you complete it...

Because unlike those these battle passes don't expire. Earning your credits back in the pass means you MUST finish it in time, and if not then you have to pay up to make the difference for the next one. Halo took that out of the equation, so it wouldn't make sense to give you everything back.

That's the worst trade off ever...this feels so bad compared to the other games. The other battlepasses last 3-4 months so as much as people try to say you have to "rush" to finish them the reality is you have plenty of time and even if you don't feel like you'll finish in time you can gain levels without buying it and then only buy it when its part way through the season and you'll know you'll finish in time. Not to mention you don't even have to finish them in other games, like I said in fortnite you pay 950 and get 1500 back so you only gotta get like 70% done to get that 950 back.

I remember one Fortnite season I bought the battlepass and my friends decided to take a break from the game so I literally got on one hour a week to do challenges and got it 80% done which gave me back more vbucks than I paid for it. Do you game less than one hour a week? If you do I wish you goodluck because this Halo Infinite battlepass is gonna take you 2+ years to finish with how grindy it is.

Weapon balance has just a few issues.
-The ARs range needs nerfed. It should not be shredding shields from range. I understand why they buffed the hell out of the AR, to give all the new to the franchise Halo noobs a chance, so im ok with the damage it does, but the AR range is absurd. Im not gonna be too mad because a skilled Halo player will beat an AR scrub every time but still.
-The only real nerf they did since the test flights was to the Commando which makes no sense. The gun is basically useless now. Its probably the toughest gun in the game to use because of the upwards recoil - and now it takes even longer to kill. Revert.
-All the weird weapons like Mauler, Disrupter, Plasma nade launcher, Red alien BR are all quite good - but have a pretty high skill requirement, its why no one uses them - im ok with that. The plasma guns do what theyre intended: shred shields fast. Only the Plasma carbine 3 shot burst thing is completely unreliable. Bullets need faster trajectory.
-The BR is 100% perfect. They better not fuck with it like they did in Halo 5 post launch. H5 eventually made the BR shoot slow as hell - and if you play H5 today, the BR isnt even used, in a Halo game. Blasphemy.
-The pistol has the correct ammo count and damage. If you're running out of ammo with the pistol, aim better. Good, careful aim under duress should be rewarded, not button spamming. Buffing the pistol damage will make the game Halo 1 or Halo 5 all over again (ie: one gun pistol only games). They will likely make a Halo 1 pistol playlist in the future for fun.

That's not what I asked. Like I said before people want to act like they are "rushed" to finish these battlepasses but they aren't. For people that actually plan to play the game this is a huge downgrade from how other F2P games handles it.

also, NO they do not fix it. all they did now is give you 50xp after every match. they will never ever get rid of the fucked up challenges I describe because why would they? They ignore almost all feedback. their own subreddit literally has to scream at them 24/7 about obvious issues until they give in just enough to calm down half of the complaints.
the controller aiming is just as shit as it was during the flights... here are Reddit posts, some with thousands of upvotes, one of them has more than 1K upvotes for simply showing a screenshot of other threads about that issue with even more upvotes on them

I've had no problems whatsoever with the controller aiming. No one that I have played with has had any problems with it.
