Completed a Firefight set on Legendary without dying.

Hm. I assumed this meant you had to play Firefight by yourself and complete on Legendary. If that's not case, then it's nowhere near as hard as I originally thought.Gui_PT said:Eh, you can just stand back and let the other players handle the tougher waves(I assume)

Yeah, the map is dense as fuck. Really nothing like it in Halo yet. Biggest concerns would have to be making the spawns work while maintaining dynamic map flow as well as it just being super confusing.Dirtbag said:That map caught my attention. Looks really fun if not perhaps a bit confusing. Like an 8 vs 8 lockout. Do want
Uhm, I don't think it's confusing. It just LOOKS confusing at a first glance (because of what I said on my last post), but if you spend a minute looking around, you'll see the layout seems pretty simple.Dirtbag said:That map caught my attention. I think it'll be a easy achieve if the Gruntocalypse Firefight mode is allowedDax01 said:Hm. I assumed this meant you had to play Firefight by yourself and complete on Legendary. If that's not case, then it's nowhere near as hard as I originally thought.
Edit: Also, new studio looks fantastic.
One big ground all connected? Dunno how I feel about that :/ The buildings seem to have no other meaning but leave you inside a small closed environment so everybody can throw 'nades inside. I would rather have something like this:big ander said:I thought this one just looked simple and fun

That is damn big though, comfortable 16 player I would think since it has layers.EazyB said:So the Revenant is the thunder-powered vehicle?
Such a waste of anticipation.

Oh! Didn't meant to say the map was bad or anything. Just that it wasn't readable (maybe because it's a screenshot, that's true, but also because it's the same sort of textures all the time). That's why I asked for some more atmosphere effect so the further the elements, the duller (or foggier, or whatever) they become and so it would be easier to tell apart. Still, I bet playing the maps would feel so much different it's not even funny. But even then..Shishka said:An enclosed, busy space is pretty hard to make readable in screenshots, I spent a few minutes trying to figure out the best angle. I can tell you a bit about that particular map since I made it though. =)
The map is built inside of the coliseum and uses the entire coliseum floor. Essentially it is layed out in a horseshoe shape. The two bases (visible in the first shot) are seperated by a large window so players can stare at the other team's flag helplessly. If they want the flag, they have to run the length of the map (and there are some catwalks and such for multi-level combat and whathaveyou).
It's one of those things where, since it's all enclosed, it's very difficult to show people how its layed out in screenshots. I remember similar confusion over Rat's Nest. Which, you know, everyone loved, so I'm sure there'll be zero iteration time on my map after playtesting. :lol
I'm pretty sure you just created Collonade 2 :/Shishka said:Essentially it is layed out in a horseshoe shape.
