I've done so with every halo... first thing is 2 player co-op with my cuz on Heroic.. I really want to try Legendary first though... after that it's Multi non stop...:D

I've been seeing ads quite a bit actually, which is surprising because I didn't see the Halo 3 ads as much. Cool stuff.

The First Live-Action one was definitely shown on TV before the beta, I think there's a tv version of the new Campaign Trailer too.

Part of me wants to draw out the experience a bit, but I'm going on vacation for a few days on Thursday after it releases. So I may try to blaze through and wrap it up by Wednesday night if I can.

Anyone reckon there will be invasion on Forge World? When are we going to get more info on playlists, gametypes, weightings, etc... You can't really test this sort of stuff in a 2/3 map beta and I don't want to wake up on the 14th to every other game being shotgun snipers on Hemorrhage.

Really? Hell yeah if this is true then you make my day. Oh FUUU 37days to survive. I hope i can play Invasion on Spire at the GamesCom. :D Invasion is for me the best addition in Halo Reach.

My first campaign run will be on Heroic with the standart Noble6. After i finished this run, i'll play some rounds firefight and the MP. Then i'm going to buy some Upgrades for my spartan and start my playthrough on legendary.

I can't find a firm release date for it, but I'm buying it day f'ing one. The extra set of programmable shoulder bumpers and the adjustable tension on the joysticks has me sold. I'll post the date as soon as I find out.

Seriously, it's not just going to help with Halo, but for COD and Gears, as well. Being able to adjust the tension of the analog sticks is also a really cool feature. It'll help a lot for racing games. I don't think I'll ever use a face button for any 360 game ever again once I get this controller. :lol

I'm of mixed opinion. I did this with Halo 3 and loved it. I split up ODST over a few days, and loved it. I don't think it matters as I'll probably love it either way.

Yeah man. I was thinking of getting a cheap 3rd party controller for my son, but I found this one and now I think I'll just let him use the wireless one when I pick up this thing. I just hope it comes out in time for reach.

btw i think i've been lurking in halo gaf for almost a year now and have only made three or four posts the whole time. i need to jump into a game of customs with you guys at some point. i'll get my ass handed to me, but i need some people to play with damnit!

I thought he said the opposite...

I read that as, you can customise Invasion settings a tonne and you can take the map and use it for any other gametype using forge.

If I dont work the next day I may try that. ODST was simple too do that with in a few hours so three four hour stretches should do it.

IIRC, Microsoft doesn't allow 3rd party accessories to connect wirelessly to the 360.

It's been a few months but I jumped back in to haloes three multi this evening and fuck! I hate the br especially when you are out of the loop for a little while.

I also hate that orbital map, worst map ever in halo history.

I have been watching the controller for about a year now, I really hope it comes out soon, will help all those people who want controls not included with games.

I'll start on either Heroic or Legendary and let it simmer for several days. I'm going to treat it like I would a delicious bass.
 
I'll probably play the first two or three levels in one go on Heroic, and then jump into multiplayer or whatever friends are up to at that stage. I doubt I'll power through the whole thing in one day, as I've never been bothered by spoilers (what happens in a good work of fiction is always subservient to how and why it happens).

I played ODST on Legendary the first time and had a blast, but for some reason I'm shying away from doing the same with Reach.
 
I'll complete the Campaign on the first day (on Heroic), but when I first get the game I'll probably play a game or two of custom Firefight, depends on what maps there are from the word go.

Just finished ODST on Legendary co-op today actually. Remember how much Buck sucks as a gunner on that last level? My bro is far worse than that. At least Buck usually hits what he aims at...

I will buy this for a high price. I've heard good things about Razor's PC stuff and as long as there's a decent warranty I'll be there day one.

edit: I remember someone a while back telling me about things you can buy and put on your thumbsticks that help increase precision/accuracy, I think it has something to do with being more accurate the longer the stick is. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

He couldn't have been following it for a year. It was announced in January, with an expected release this fall. I haven't heard anything to suggest that it's behind schedule.

Yeah, I remember that. It's like another analog pad that you attach on top of the existing analog pads on the 360 controller. I think this controller has those on by default.
 
Dani I'm going to try and find that video of us killin' it in that Flag game we played on some variant of Sandbox last night. That was I think my favorite game from last night- so fun. I'll link it in a little bit.

No but really, I'm not interested in that. It's pretty cheap if you ask me, from a competitive stand point. If I were you guys, I would wait until at least MLG Raleigh at the end of the month. According to MarkMan we'll see what MLG and MadCatz have been working on. I'm guessing it's going to be controllers for Halo and Fightsticks for Tekken.

Yeah, it does look like that controller has something similar on there, or will at least eliminate the need for one. Adjustable tension looks like a really good feature, too. At $50 I'll definitely be giving these a try.
