Halo: Spartan Assault is getting a free add-on and update with Operation Hydra, and Xbox 360 controller support is coming with it.

The add-on will be available for free on August 29 and it will add five new missions, new achievements, make certain weapons that were only available through micro-transactions unlockable with experience, and add the ability to play the game with an Xbox 360 controller.

The phone version of Spartan Assault originally released exclusively for Verizon devices, but now that game is available on all Windows 8 phones.

No. And I'll doubt that it is technically possible due to the wireless technique that the X360 controllers use. I would love it if it's somehow possible. Because I get really annoyed by the touchscreen controls. I'm fighting more against the controls than I'm fighting with them.
And I don't even have a small Phone, Nokia Lumia 920.

That's cool to hear, I wanted to play this (windows8 laptop) but definitely wanted to wait for controller support based on reactions.

Damn that sucks. I love the game but I hate the controls. Hopefully this comes to XB1 at some point.

I found the game worked perfectly well with a mouse/kb. Possibly even better than it would have with a dual stick controller. Being able to click where you want to shoot is a little easier than just kinda pointing in the right general direction as you do with dual-stick shooters.

I'll give it a try though, Spartan Assault is way more enjoyable than I expected it to be.
