Never finished ep 2 , watched the ending on the internet.. there was a point in disc 2 were i couldn't go on anymore

You know that Namco owns the IP right?
It's probably going to release on the same consoles that their biggest RPG series are released on.. the main Tales games so PS3 or PS4 or even cross gen between these two.

i haven't played 2 and 3. 1 was a disappointment after Xenogears. but i'm willing to give it another try. these games are probably high culture if you compare them to today's console releases.

I couldn't get into the Xenosaga series. I think I played the first one and part of the second one and quit. I would have loved a XenoGears HD remake with character models that looked drawn and good 3d graphics. Also with disc 2 completely removed from the game. I bought the digital version of the original for my ps3(60gb) because the physical disc that I owned froze on the last dungeon. I got the digital one replayed the whole game again and did the same thing :/

Played the trilogy and loved every moments of it. Even eps2 which is often hated, i found had a good combat system and was enjoyable. EpIII is the best though. Would buy an HD version on day 1.

I would buy it since Xenosaga 1 and 3 weren't released here.
Harada has already explained his concerns about the economics of the situation, so no, it's not likely that it will come to Wii U, or any hypothetical new systems with an even smaller install base.

That trailer made me think of the PS2 days again, when Jrpgs were popular and now I feel sad.
Europe only ever got Xenosaga Episode 2. It's one of those little facts that makes you wonder if the general poor treatment of PAL territories by video game publishers is borne more of malice than of technical difficulties.
2 actually only got released there because SCEE themselves published it. Seems like a mighty odd game to pick up for first-party release what with it being the direct sequel to an unreleased predecessor and considering that the European release came about around a year and a half after the Japanese release and ~9 months or so after the NA release. Seems like Sony would've had enough lead time to learn that the game was not entirely well-received.

Well, he did say he wanted to get the original staff involved, which is owned by Nintendo. So if he goes with that plan, its a safe bet it would be on 3DS/Wii U.
Why would you assume Xenosaga fans to be on PS4 when the developer of those games has been part of Nintendo for quite some time now? Wouldn't you want to move with the guys that made the games you like? I mean, come on.
And even then, if the collection is to be made with the original developers in on the project, they would have no choice but to go to Nintendo and ask. This has been done before (Project X Zone), which resulted in the game being on a Nintendo system despite being a sequel to a PS2 exclusive. I'm not saying that a hypothetical Xenosaga HD Collection/Remaster would definitely be on a Nintendo system, but it's absolutely likely, and pretty much guaranteed if they want Monolith Soft in on it.
I really hope they release a game called "Xenosaga HD Collection" on the 3DS.

I remember playing Xenosaga 1, and not liking it due to the fact that I was comparing it to one of my most favorite games of all time Xenogears.
I feel like now would be a great time to give this series another chance, so hopefully this will be brought over... but let's be honest,

I barely remember the second one, but do remember liking it more than other people. Still the worst of the three, but I didn't feel it was terrible.
I probably played through the first one 3-4, really enjoyed it. Only played the third one through once when I was on a backlog binge. I might need to play it again soon.
Really am hoping for an HD version though. Maybe they could give each of the games the same battle system as the third (which I remember liking the best) while they're at it.

The religious ties only serve to enhance the lore and give them an historical context, but they are hardly the point. chaos and KOS-MOS could have been any other religious leaders, for what mattered.
On the top of that, jRPG are in no way new to using religion. It's ok to use Greek Gods, Japanese Gods, Norse mythology but if someone mentions Jesus somehow things gets silly. Gotcha. (Also you like Xenogears, the game were they crucify a giant squirrel on the Golgotha.)
Uh excuse me but, unlike squirrels, Chu-Chu is not a low level life-form.

yes, i played shin megami/etc games before, i'm aware that these aren't new concepts...nor do i pretend xenogears' use was super deep or subtle. it's not the mere use of christian mythology, it's the sloppy and ham-fisted way xenosaga lazily does it, on top of all the other plot/character problems.
normally i'd love to sit here & do list warz about all the ups & downs the actually good PSX RPG had vs the disappointing series, but you seem to be having a great time writing reductive posts that speak for me, so please pardon the interruption.

Depends on if Monolith were the ones that remastered the series. On one hand it's clearly been made known that Harada would want the original team to do it so they don't screw it up(which would make it Nintendo that gets it), on the other hand Namco are the ones that actually "own" the series since it was made with their money. So it's either WiiU that would get it and it would remain true to the original, or it would be multiple systems and there would potentially be a high chance of something being changed due to a different team doing the work(multiple hours of pre-rendered cutscenes would have to be scrapped if this were the case and pretty much made from scratch).
the xenosaga fanbase is already on ps4? wow, they got there early, didn't they?
the ps4 doesn't even have much of a general fanbase in japan at this time, let alone a xenosaga one. lol.
what makes more sense?
that a xenosaga collection would come out on ps4; a system that is unquestionably last on the japanese market and looks to continue selling worst until FFXV comes out, OR it comes out on a system with a significantly bigger user base (for now) where the original developers are actively making games on?? not to mention the 'said' game they are currently making also has the 'xeno' name in it's title.
there may not be any direct connection to the other two takahashi' series, but at this point in time, with xenobalde on the wii, xenobalde coming out on 3ds, and a new xeno title already being developed on wiiU, i'd wager the nintendo fan base is more familiar with the 'xeno' name than what any other current console on the market can claim.
hell, they could probably convince nintendo to help fork out the bill for the project. they're pretty close with nintendo right now.
especially taking into consideration harada specifically mentions wanting to work with the original developers of the series, should the project come to fruition.
the wild card is the ps3;. monolith's involvement aside, that would indeed be a good place to release it if namco feel like circumventing monolithsoft.
i personally think the ps3 is the best choice if namco wants any chance of this series making a bit of money on the strength of its potential sales, without relying on a company like nintendo to fund the entire project.

You didnt know monolithsoft are now apart of nintendo? Its been like this since.....2006 I believe, every once in a while namco would ask nintendo for monolithsoft to make games like projectXzone which was 3DS exclusive

I will buy the collection on any system it comes out for, day 1. But only retail disc, not digital. And I am not setting up a dumb twitter account just to 'like' it or show my support. No company should use it to get a general idea of ANY group's tastes.
