Has a pet ever destroyed your game/hardware?

My dog knocked my Vita off the end table and it landed screen first on the brick fireplace. Cracked screen, won't turn on. I'm not even sure I can send it off to be fixed.

I don't think so, but I once had a dog that ran across my room and ripped my brand spanking new PS2 out of its shelf so it came crashing down on the floor when her legs snagged the controller chord. In hindsight it's more the chord's fault than the dog's. Good riddance to those things.

Dog chewed up my memory card back in the 90's, and the one I currently have chewed up my 3DS charger. Memory card hurt the most.

My puppy chewed through my genesis controller cord. My mom was quick to to tell me to put my stuff up next time, until our puppy chewed through a pair of her shoes. She got me some wireless infrared controllers after that.

and a note. Boxer puppies are waves of destruction when teething, so put up things that are important.

Dog when it was a puppy chewed my silver Wavebird GC controller and ruined the sticks and part of the handles.

I ended up using wired controllers more though so not a big deal. Sucks that it was the silver wavebird and not one of my gray ones though lol.

My dog took a bite out of my ps3 controller sometime after i had gotten the system for christmas. Worked fine until last week when the joystick finally decided to not work. I'll see if i still have the photo of the controller somewhere.

I had a friend whose cat sprayed his SNES. I guess he must have done it near the cartridge slot because it actually had some urine inside of it. We turned it upside down, wiped it off and let it dry and it still worked.

Nintendo makes tanks.

My cat puked on my first xbox, but it kept working.
Never got angry with my cat, that console had some great games but was fucking ugly.

My cat chewed through the wired Wii sensor bar so I had to get a wireless which just destroyed my family's AAA\ battery supply. Ugh, I like kitties but...

My cat sliced a borrowed Wii motion sensor into ribbons as I was wrapping the wire around it. He couldn't resist. I immediately bought a replacement because I'm not an arsehole, unlike some "friends" who have borrowed stuff from me, broken it and refused to compensate me. One friend borrowed my DS, broke the hinge entirely but - because it still 'worked' - said he wouldn't give me more than ÂŁ5 towards it. He gave me a ÂŁ10 note and asked for change. Prick.

Back when I played FFXI on PS2 and 360 (2004~2008), my cat ruined 4 or 5 keyboards. I would lay across my bed and play, and I had a bad habit of putting my keyboard and controller on the floor when I was done playing (usually because I was on the verge of passing out and I don't like sleeping with shit in the bed). She puked up hairballs directly in the center of 3 or 4 keyboards over the course of the years. I often kept a cup of water on the nightstand beside the bed, and on one or two occasions she knocked the full cup over onto a keyboard below it.

I honestly think she was jealous over the amount of time I spent playing FFXI instead of petting her. She never targeted a controller or anything else, but she ruined more than her share of keyboards.

Hmm, no, not a pet. But my fucking brother destroyed countless NES and Genesis controller cords by chewing on them as he played.

Back in the 80's, we had a bird that nibbled the rubber start and select buttons on our NES controllers down so as to be flush with the plastic. Still worked, you just had to press harder.

I used to have a 27" tv with a ps3 right infront of it on my desk, one day when I was out (and i guess i forgot to close my bedroom door), my dog jumped on my bed and then on top of my desk and knocked my tv right into the corner of my ps3, my tv cracked and I had to get a new one.

I really don't know how that happened tbh, that's the scenario I came up with when I got home that day finding my tv broken.

My dog ate my N64 controller. I dont mean chewed it and destroyed it. Ate it. :( this was like a year ago. No more Revenge for me :(

My dog tripped with the PS2 controller cord, which caused the PS2 to fall to the ground. I had another PS2, so no biggie.

My cat would walk around and lay on top my PS3. She'll get on the ground and start walking around my PS3 charge cord (the one that came with the $70 AV cables) and she puts it in her mouth and chews. I only catch her when the cords already in her mouth. All my charge cords have teeth marks. It's frustrating, but she'll push it off the dresser if I put it somewhere. She also likes to knock my controllers on the ground.

Yup, mistakenly left my cartridge for Harvest Moon: A New Beginning on my desk. Came back home and my girlfriend's dog had mauled it to pieces. Didn't care so much about the game, but my save file with over 90 hours of play was on there. Not the best game for the dog to chew :/

I had my old dog go behind my bedroom TV where I had my GameCube, OG Xbox, and directv hooked up and chewed all of the connections. That was costly.

Kitten: Found the Astro cable pretty tasty. Prompted my decision for Wireless only headsets.

Cat: Before it got fixed it made sure to take away my 60" LED from this world. Sprayed right in the vents. QQ

my cat has chewed the cables of, and rendered inoperable...

-2 Wii nunchuck controllers

-1 Wii AC adapter/power cord

-1 Wii U gamepad charge cable

-Xbox 360 wired controller

-the original keyboard that this computer first came with

-and multiple cell phone chargers

no amount of admonishing seems to deter her, storing away any non-essential wired items is the only thing that works. I fear for the day when electronic peripherals no longer sate her thirst, for when only the flesh of man will quell within her the rage that stirs and craves only destruction.

Oh totally, and it's always been Nintendo products.

A German Shepard we had when I was little ate my NES power cord, and this in a time when it wasn't so easy to just pop into Walmart for a new one. So I went without an NES for a long time after, like until I bought a used one in college. I only ever got to play Super Mario Bros, Excite Bike, and Duck Hunt.

More recently, my little bastard of a lionhead rabbit chewed through three different Wii U wires on three different occasions. Suffice it to say, he's not longer allowed in the living room.
What a sad story. Missing out on the best console generation.

A puppy German Shepard of mine chewed the xbox one HDMI cable, then she chewed out the left stick off one of my 360 controllers, then she chewed on my last good 360 headset -_-

We no longer have the puppy
she got out and we couldn't find her :'(

Yes. I recently had my dog destroy a pair of 300$ iem ear buds. I had them for like a year and a half but the worst part was how my girlfriend got upset when I bought them without telling her. She said I would lose them or destroy them, she was right. I loved those things. Can't bring myself to buy another pair. Damn..

My cat has a long history of destroying the pack in Xbox 360 headsets. I think she has destroyed at least four over the years.

Nope. My wife's cat learned quickly to stay away from the entertainment center, and the kitten hasn't been an issue with cables surprisingly given that she gets into everything else.

She does sometimes run off with my stock PS4 earphones though.

My brother was playing some wrestling game on GameCube, and my dog didn't see the controller cable and knocked down the GameCube. Nothing happened to the console, but the game got scratched and became useless.

I miss my dog </3

Yep! I was at my grandma house when I was a kid & my cousin brought his pit bull puppy in the house & she bit my PlayStation controller cord & the controller port completely stopped working & I had to get a new PS1.

I had sugar gliders that chewed through this $100 gaming mouse that I loved.

They're too cute to be angry at though.

When I was a kid playing my NES, my dog, when he was a puppy, randomly ran into the living room, and chewed on either the AC adapter or the RF switch. Needless to say, the picture went off the screen, and it was game over for a little bit until a replacement was bought. I was so sad....I was glad my Dog was ok, but wanted to choke him for ruining my game playing. RC Pro-Am I believe I was playing at the time. XD

When I was in the 7th grade, my friend lent me her Game Boy. That evening, while I was working on homework, our stupid dog got into the house (she was in outdoor dog because she was very destructive) and out of all the things she could have found to play with, she chose my friend's Game Boy on the kitchen table. She took it outside and made a chew toy out of it.

Later on in the evening, I came upstairs to the table to find a thoroughly chewed Game Boy.... I guess my dad took it away from her or something. She really did a number on it, but as you might guess from the classic brick Game Boy, it still worked and was playable. I used sandpaper to diminish the tooth marks, but there was only so much I could do. I felt humiliated when I returned the Game Boy the next day.

A few months later she gave me the Game Boy for Christmas. She wasn't much of a gamer anyway, and only had one because it was given to her by somebody who had dropped it in the tub and didn't think it would work anymore.

I still have the Game Boy and it still works. Those things were TANKS.

I had a puppy that chewed through my duke Xbox controller. Thankfully my parents were nice enough to buy me a new controller, and it ended up being the controller S so that was an upgrade, even if I still missed having a duke.

Other than that, none of the pets I've had chewed through cables.

Just the following from a dog, all pretty cheap to replace fortunately.

-Vita charging cable
-3DS charging cable
-Headphone cable

My cat sat on my ps4 and proceeded to chew the wireless gold headphones USB receiver to buggery. It looks like scrambled eggs but still works somehow.

My dog demolished the grips on a dualshock 3 last weekend. I'll probably pick up a broken one and swap out the guts since it still works.

Don't tell me that! I've been considering getting the Gold as replacement for my Silver so I don't have a wire ... lol
