Has anyone tasted their Switch cartridges yet?

https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSw...fun_fact_you_can_use_the_taste_of_the_switch/

The Switch cartridges are covered with a bitterant which makes them not taste good. This is presumably so children and infants won't accidentally swallow them, since the bitterness should immediately make them spit it out.

However the bitterant apparently can used to estimate a person's characteristic genetic trait pertaining to the relative density of taste buds they have on their tongue.

Have fun tasting your Switch carts and remember, do not eat iPod Shuffle Switch cartridges!

this is why people are ashamed of being gamers

No, journalists and youtubers seem interested enough to know how cartridges taste, I'll just play them as usual.

I tested. It was tangy/zingy? Reminded me of licking 9 volts. Idk how else to describe it. If I shredded it up and put it on a veggie slice I don't think it would be that bad.

Does anyone have good ideas for recipes using Switch cartridges? I think they would be good in a salad but the taste might be lost under the dressing.

Do you think anyone else has realized that if you buy a Switch game pre-owned it's highly likely that someone's licked the cartridge you paid money for 🤔

I admit I did but not like full on lick it or anything, just a tiny tip of my tongue, not enough to instantly regret it, but enough to no that I incredibly disliked it.

I hate this.

The real question now is, having this knowledge, will you purposely lick your Switch games before you trade them in?

I wonder if we'll get a thread from someone who wants to swallow a Breath of the Wild cartridge so the game can be a part from him/her.

No, but Nintendo's found an amazing way to stop people buying games second hand lol

That's child's play. A real fan would have the game card surgically implanted so that it gradually absorbs into your body over the years.
