they're all way too easy for me. still fun and charming to play through but i lost interest with the games as an adult. if i'm spending time with a sidescrolling platformer its got to have some teeth

Squeak Squad and Amazing Mirror were pretty lousy. Amazing Mirror is especially disappointing since the idea had so much potential, but the clusterfuck design make the game a chore. Squeak Squad is just uninspired. Both of these games were made by Capcom.

I also found Kirby's Dreamland 2 very disappointing. I was hoping for Kirby's Adventure on the Gameboy, but it just didn't play as awesome as Adventure.

I played through them in release order up to (and including) Super Star and thought the series as a whole was the definition of mediocrity /shrug

Though I do want to give some spinoffs a go. Air Ride, Canvas Curse, Mass Attack and Epic Yarn all look cool in their own way.

I think a better question has there been a great Kirby game? They are all pretty good, but play it super safe.

That Kirby golf game is Godtier.
