Has your alcohol tolerance gone up or done?

I used to be able to drink a lot (151, Kraken, Absinthe) and not feel drunk until way later in the night but lately I've been getting complete drunk off 2 or 3 drinks. I guess it's a blessing in disguise as going out every weekend was getting costly.

Has your alcohol tolerance gone up or down?

Down, for sure.

Drank a litre of vodka one night and was fine. Now a few glasses gets me pissed.
It sucks, but also good because I save money.

Down these days, though I've been drinking a lot more beer and I've always been weak to that.

Don't ask me how I can be more trashed off a 6 pack of beer than 1/2 a bottle of whiskey but it happens.

I need to take a week or two off every now and then to reset my tolerance. Right now it takes 5 or 6 Sierra Nevadas for me to get a good buzz and 10-12 to get me drunk. I don't like being at that point where I have to drink all night to maintain a buzz, so it's probably time to take a break.

Up. Been drinking on the reg since vaca. Even have a beer or two on my lunch break at work. I need to slow down.

I've practically stopped drinking since being in a relationship and no longer going out all the time. A 12 pack can last me a week because after 2 beers i'm ready to lay down. I went to a Mexican restaurant for my birthday 2 days ago and had a Blue margarita and couldn't finish it.

I was always a lightweight so my tolerance level had nowhere to go but up.

You don't have to spend a lot of money on alcohol unless you are specifically drinking to get drunk. Yeah.

Hard to tell since I switched from liquor to beer over the past few years and I can obviously drink a lot more beer than I can liquor. I would say it's probably stayed the same, though.

Went down. Could handle a few beers without any issue, now I'm wasted after 4-5 and the hangovers are getting worse and wrose too. luckily I'm only ddrinking maybe once or twice a month.

Is it weird that I'm 23 turning 24 and my tolerance already feels quite a lot worse then when I was 19?

I also was really overweight at 19 and now I'm slim.

Down. In high school I could drink a twelve pack of Beast Ice and still function normally. Now I get a hangover from 4 or 5 drinks.

I'm 26 now.

It's probably down. I haven't gotten drunk in about a year.

There you go. There was more of you to get drunk before.

Down but only because the drinking itself has gone down. Initially it went up until I was drinking shitloads nearly daily. now I drink once or twice a month and can probably put away about 12 beers before being smashed to hell and back and significantly less if it's something harder.

I used to drink an ungodly amount every weekend with my friends. Tolerance was amazing, lots of everclear. Now that I don't drink during the week and only on Saturday my tolerance is shit

Get drunk fast. It's weird. Kinda nice though

Physically up of course because i'm drinking more lol. But i find myself purging more often lately, so my mental tolerance has gone down :/

Way way down. I used to drink an insane amount and handle it pretty well but now I get buzzed by 2 beers. I've gone from basically being an alcoholic to rarely drinking except for occasionally sipping some good scotch.

I'm talkative to begin with, so alcohol really doesn't change me all that much. I don't even know what it feels like to be so drunk that I can't maintain absolute cognitive control.

Up, but got fatter so one reason there
Also been hitting the Brandy hard for the past year, definitely upped the tolerance.
Local beers are all I enjoy otherwise.

Down for sure, but it depends on what I'm drinking. Vodka, I'd be okay until my third or fourth drink.

Beer makes me sleepy and red wine, I'd be lucky to make it past the third glass before I'm snoring.

Hangovers have gotten worse though so I really need to pick my battles now.

Tolerance is up, but I still don't drink more than I always did. It still makes me queasy, which is the true limiting factor for me.

Tolerance is about the same, however hangovers are starting to become an issue. I've started drinking a lot less due to them.

I've lost a lot of weight over the past 12 months (20kg or about 45lbs) and I've managed to increase my alcohol tolerance to boot. Granted, i do drink a bit slower and more measured now, but I can hold it better.

I stick to spirits these days largely, beer and wine have too many carbs and the ratio of alcohol vs. other crap is far higher in them. Just whiskey, vodka, rum, gin, etc. for me most of the time now. It's better that way.

tolerance to being drunk went up but the hang overs got worse
Well that makes sense. An alcohol tolerance is a tolerance to getting drunk, but has little impact as far as the other side effects

So now when you get drunk you drink more than you used to, which logically means a worse hangover. It sucks.

Taking a nice break from alcohol is probably a good idea. Lower dat tolerance a bit.

Down down down....

Not only that it instantly gives me a headache. Doesn't even have the dignity of waiting until the next morning.

I have different tolerances to different drinks. They vary all the time. Ale is definitely down since I stopped working in the pub trade. Rum is up since I had money to buy nice rum.

Way, way down.

Used to take a six pack of 8.5% porter to get a rise out of me. Now I'm done in one or two. And hangovers are ten times worse and last way longer.
