Has your town ever been in a game?

How many people's TOWNS have been in games? NYC is definitely not a town... neither is LA... I imagine there are far fewer actual real towns in games :p

I know Mercenaries II was set in Venezuela, but never played it so I don't know which state was it or if it was just a fictional area in the country.

Not sure, has Mexico City ever been in a shooter? Or maybe in a racer?

Fifa games. Estadio Azteca!

just kidding... I think there was a stage on Mexico City on a Rainbow Six game, not really sure. :/

Yup. Edinburgh was in PGR2. The recreation was pretty spot on although I was disappointed they were about 3 streets out of having my flat in the game.

Rockstar also included the Forth bridges in San Andreas I think.

NYC, so yes.

Though I'd like for my home city of Philadelphia to be in a game. Lots of potential there, I think.

It was used as the basis for the city in Heavy Rain.

Also, Love Park was in one of the Tony Hawk games, I forget which one.

Helsinki was a city-state in Civ5. Not sure if it is still in the game as of Gods and Kings expansion.
Also in some other strategy games... probably.
Other than thess, i can't think of any mention of Helsinki in games

PGR 2 had a stage set there!

Thanks guys!

Yeah, would be cool. Especially considering how many Swedish developers there are. Despite the country being so small six of the biggest E3 games (Mirror's Edge 2, Battlefield 4, Mad Max, The Division, Need for Speed: Rivals and Star Wars) are Swedish and at least half of them take place in the US.

Yeah, that was my thought as well.

Just waiting for a new GTA: Vice City that includes Palm Beach County. Then I'm set.

Although, they've been really close. Aside from Vice City, the closest would actually be Port St. Lucie, which is where the Green Dolphin Street Prison stage in JoJo's Bizzare Adventure: All Star Battle is located.

Damn, I didn't know that! I live in Port St. Lucie lol.

Yes twice, but not my town, the country i live in.

Nigeria - GoldenEye 007 (2010) & Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Dubai - Ace Combat: Assault Horizon
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
GoldenEye 007 (2010 video game)
Grid 2
Medal of Honor: Warfighter
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010 video game)
Need for Speed: Nitro
Spec Ops: The Line (This was banned in the Middle-east had to import it illegally).

My hometown Calgary, no. Though Edmonton was in MDK2

My current city though, Vancouver? ME3 made sure to TOTALLY fuck up downtown Vancouver at the start of that game. It was kind of amazing :P

Driver 2 had some missions on rio de janeiro i think. But it didn't look like the real RJ at all.
MW2 had some mission on rio de janeiro too. I've never been in a favela so i can't tell. But the scenes on the streets also didn't look like rio.

I don't think any town from the Cariboo region of British Columbia has ever been featured in a video game (wait, maybe the city of Kamloops in NHL 2011)... but certainly not my town. And I doubt that will ever happen, unless I get off my ass and develop my own game that features my hometown in some way or another.
