:0briefcasemanx said:I live in the basement and I get bit by spiders while sleeping about once every couple weeks.
i feel a sting and i'm out of bed in like 2 microseconds and half the time i find a spider on the bed or nearby. The other half i'm guessing they crawl INTO THOSE SECRET PLACES THAT HUMANS DON'T KNOW ABOUT.
Luckily i haven't been bit by brown recluse yet, or at least it was a dry bite. They've multiplied exponentially the last couple of years![]()

That's right...it's not that big at all. It's a lens trick, the spider is actually being held up really close to the camera (you can see the guys hand that's holding it...and it's as big as the spider).
Still scary as shit, though. But not as bad as it looks at first sight.
that's because it isn't.Ned Flanders said:I REFUSE TO BELIEVE that thing is real. WTFOMGBBQ
acksman said:heh that was the problem, it was a newly built house and we didn't have anyone around us. So we got all the critters coming into the house.
I hated spiders and snakes with a passion being a city kid, but after a month or two or all sorts of spiders, snakes, and coyotes you get used to it.

I think of the clown spider (bottom) as saying, "Ehhh?" or some type of greeting.
It never occurred to me that someone might think it was actually as big as that guy's leg :lolocelittle said:Take a closer look at that desert spider...

and yes, they were big.
I had one of these guys living in my room for a while. When I first saw him, I thought about squshing him, but I figured if I let him live, he would eat other bugs that I hate. So we became friends.RaymondCarver said:
SatelliteOfLove said:Yeah, we have them down here here in SC, too. Must be a warm temperate thing. The spiderwebs don't break easily when you walk into them, either, so it's like a net. :lol
