Lots of crow eating:

I thought...
- DS would bomb.
- PS3 wouldn't go over $400.
- PS3 would be a huge leap ahead of 360.
- PSP would be the next big handheld.
- Gears of War would be a bland third person shooter.
- PS3 games would actually look at good as E3 2005 vids.
- I could buy Wii in stores the week it was released.

Basically I put a lot of faith in Sony and had no faith in Nintendo.

I love my DS to bits, a year ago though...total crow.

Wii and 360 have been pleasantly engaging despite a ton of shovelware amid few and scattered moments of genius. No crow yet.

PS3 has LONG way to go before selling me. VF5 may do it, but the Motorstorm demo didn't impress much(visuals aside), and all the little quirks that keep surfacing just sours my already diminished desire for the black box. Crow incoming?

PSP on the otherhand, god how my love for that device has been kicked to the curb. Metal Gear had better be something special.

I that Yoshi's Island DS would suck, and thought EBA wouldn't rise to Ouendan's levels.

I thought the PS3's implementation of Linux would be a joke, a bulletpoint on some marketting slide but it really does look awesome and if I had the money (and could actually buy a PS3) it would be the biggest selling feature for me right now (more than any of the launch titles).

I thought the DS would bomb - then bought it after seeing Ouendan & Band Brothers in action.

I used to hate on the 360 ("its a damned pc in a box!!"-well..thats still true) - then I saw Dead Rising and Gears -now I own one. Like one of the early posters, it continually impresses me.

I still hate on the PS2 and its hideous control pad, despite owning one. The only games I play on it are Guitar Hero, we <3 katamari and the 2 shin megami games that made it over to europe..

psp...*sigh* its nothing but a glorified Tekken box for me nowadays.


I think the only console I never hated on was the Gamecube..

From the sounds of it, I may eat some crow on Gears of War. Ever since Brute force(UGH) I fear third person action games. Havn't played it, but from the sounds of fellow gaffers, it seems to do a good job of it. I just thought it would have a major mechanic malfunction and it would ruin the game.

I am still waiting on the PS3 one though. I think it will bomb compared to the ps2 becuase of the price.

After playing it I really dislike the Wii's controller. Don't think I even want to get one now.

- I thought the PSP would completely dominate the handheld scene
- I thought that Elite Beat Agents wouldn't be as good as Ouendan
- I thought that Viva Piñata would suck

- I thought that I could walk in on Sunday and get a Wii (>.<)
