Have you ever injured yourself gaming?

This...from MotoGP online on Xbox. I miss the days of having hours on end between school to powerslide bikes around corners at impossible speeds while people shouted expletives down the headset at me. Good times, good times...

I've always referred to, and heard this referred to as "Gamer's Thumb". Of course, I've had it as well.

My mom likes to sew, and when I was younger one of her sewing pins/needles was left in the carpet. I put down my NES PowerPad to play Track and Field. As a kid, I could control my arms a lot better than my legs so I used my hands
you bastards did it too!
and well... the PowerPad had caused the needle to point up, right under the place where I was going to pound my fist to beat one of those runners.

Hospital was in the near future.

Never recieved a blister from Mario Party, but I'm pretty sure I rubbed my palm raw from the rotating the stick minigames.

Wii elbow during the launch window from Wii Sports and a pretty epic case of shin splints when I first bought DDR Max for the PS2. Stomping my ass off on those crappy mats had me limping for a few days.

As much as I love Daytona USA, I got injured playing it. You see, the twin cab had sharp edges on the seat base. I brushed up my right leg to one of those sharp edges, and got a pretty nasty gash, bleeding like crazy.

I had that happen to me twice- once on a Daytona USA twin cab, and once on a Sega Rally twin cab, which used the same cabinet design.

Here's a flyer for the twin cab. Notice the shiny metal under the seat. That's where the sharp edges are.

I punched a hole through the door to my room after a game of Socom 2 that didn't go so well for me and I decided I had enough of the tormenting lag. Nothing really happened to my hand, the door was really old though and wooden so I did get a few splinters/cuts on the knuckles. I thought it was hilarious at the time though because afterwards there was a huge gaping hole in the door, my mom went nuts and I had to stick newspaper inbetween and paint over it.

I had numerous blisters on my fingers when I was a kid because of Street Fighter 2 on SNES.

And I started sweating a little during the microwave scene in MGS4.

That's about it as far as non-normal reactions to games.

Oh, that reminds me. I once had a piece of wood lying up against the side of my wall, and some game was REALLY pissing me off (I believe it was the Dagra Dai mission in NG2 Mission Mode on Master Ninja), so I decided to take out some frustration on the wood and gave it a nice punch. It snapped in half, but it splintered awkwardly and took a chunk of skin off the side of my pinky. Still got the scar from it too.

If GAF only knew...
