Well I hope she enjoys your gaming priorities if you have been living off of her retirement yet you both are going hungry because you might not be able to buy a few games back.
Not like you have been living off of her or anything.

You can't play your rare games if you're dead. Sell some stuff and feed yourself and your hungry aunt

Man I finished my testing for a job to support myself and her and now will try to sell my gaming PC and PS3 but even though that won't last for much

I really don't get you OP.

You and your aunt are subsisting on bread and water, but you're paying other unnecessary bills.

Let them go delinquent. I'd rather be broke and alive, than broke and dead.

If we're talking about drastic measures here. You can get current on them when you have income.

Food/shelter are number one.

Plus you have items that you can sell but won't?

What?

So your Aunt hasn't eaten in two days as well?
yup exactly we been basically eating bread and water ...
Damn, dude.

True but most of them are old and rare games man i won't be able to rebuy and selling at a loss I can try to sell my gaming PC or even PS3 but PS4 hell no

Do it for your aunt. She took you in. Whatever "value" loss you experience now from selling your stuff isn't going to matter after you start working and have your shit together. You're not looking ahead and your priorities now are all messed up.

thing is it was fine for us before but this year prices went up the rent and everything right now working on selling my PC and PS3 and hope I go to BMT soon

A big assed bag of rice, a big jar of peanut butter, bread. Pasta. All cheap as hell and filling no matter what country you are in. Add to that some butter, and some cheap sauce and you are set for weeks.
Selling anything should be able to set you up and buy you some time.

Quick google searches show food banks in UAE... you in Dubai?

Also, check with the local mosques.. they take care of their people, assuming you are muslim.. if not.. not so sure.

also, no offense, shit can be rebought later.. you need money, you have things that you don't need.. especially a PS3 or games you've already played. What good are they sitting on a shelf?

the PS3 games I have are old so they will be worth nothing and all my PS4 games are digital...

Man if I sold them I won't be able to get them in the future I gotta hold out for awhile .

Yes you would, but it might be a few years from now. Or, you and auntie could starve to death.

You say she gets her pension on the 1st. Sell your PS4, that should get you plenty of food to last until then.

You'll buy it back a year or two from now; but you'll at least be alive to do so. Priorities.

Sell your shit and buy it again later. I've done this several times when money was really tight. You don't need games. You need food, water and shelter.

Sell your PS4 and gaming PC. Keep your PS3 if you think it's "worthless" and not going to fetch you anything. At least you'll have something to play and games for that are much cheaper, especially used.

OP where in the UAE are you?

If you are in Dubai and trolley.ae deliver to your area I can buy some essential stuff for you and get it sent to you.

Not eating for days is silly man, you don't have to do this to yourself. Accept help.

http://trolley.ae/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=6

Let me know if they will deliver to you.

I live in a small city Alain but will check it out right now I called a good friend to lend me some cash and he said alright man never been like this before the pain is real but at least we still have a roof over our heads...

Yeah, you still have a roof, a PS3, a PS4, and a gaming PC. But no food.

Your cash flow problem is completely solvable.
I don't feel sorry for you.

Do what needs to be done or don't come whining to the Internet.

Your can rebuy your games and consoles, OP.

Plus, you said they're digital. You will still have them if you decide to rebuy.

Priorities, mate. Think about your poor aunt as well.

I mean, if he didn't pay the internet bill alone, he should be able to buy pounds of rice and frozen vegetables, some chicken, potatoes, more bread, etc each month.

Ok, just take any help you can get and if you need to just sell your gaming stuff just do it. It can be rebought when times get better.

I don't know of any online delivery services for Al Ain but if you know of any then let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.

It doesn't work like that here. No matter what you have to pay your bills or you risk getting in a lot of shit.

thing is the internet me and the neighbours share it so had to pay it either way and the house rent got really high this year need to work on moving out but it will take time its gonna be rough for awhile before I get employed then things will be easy

This is like a HUELEN10 thread.

nothing left of it man here the salary goes out monthly so we gotta wait till the first of feb I really wanna start my job already so I don't have to be like this it hurts ..
Holding out until the first of February. So 2 more miserable weeks of bread and water?

come on man I'm just a kid I'm trying even gonna borrow money from friends which I never did before but I got to its the only way

You are young. At least consider the advice given by others in this thread. Sell your shit. Years from now, when you have a steady job or career and are financially stable, I guarantee you're going to look back at this moment and shake your head for clinging on to dumb material possessions while you and your aunt were starving.

as much as I hate the thought of selling them but it has to be done unfortunately not everyone has it easy ):

But you made the thread presumably asking for help? You're getting it. Sell your stuff. That's a starter.

Could you get some super low paying job, like restaurant dishwasher?

asking for advice yeah and to see if others had the same situation and how they dealt with it I applied for the armed forces finished my testing and it pays good just gotta wait till the BMT starts

OP, if you can't sell your consoles to eat I'm starting to see where things went wrong. You certainly can't be fiscally responsible if you've gone broke while buying consoles and games. I mean, you come online to spread your woe and you have all these people telling you how to fix your situation but you won't except that there are times in life where you need to make sacrifices.

Sell a few things, at the least. Humble yourself down to a food pantry. Buy rice, beans and noodles. Save what you can to get a bag of carrots and apples.

You don't need those material things. You can get them back when you're in a better place. If you can't accept that the money is already lost then you are a fool. If people bail you out you'll never face the hard truths and you'll always be scraping by.

Now is an amazing time to get acquainted with the books at your library.

This is what I would do:

I'd sell all my possessions outside of absolute necessities.
I'd visit food banks, religious organizations, charities for canned goods and other donations.
I'd work some menial low paying, even if its under the table, to get some cashflow coming in.
Do internet economy stuff-testing, Amazon turk, surveys, whatever.

I'm trying to think of it from your perspective since you're younger and have no career skills based on your posts.

But your youth is an asset. You should have more energy to do menial jobs if you need to and you do need to.

And the good thing is that you don't need to make a huge commitment to these gigs since they're low skill.

Do it until you get called up for basic training.

Your aunt needs food too. Think about her.

its hard to find jobs like that here this is a very small city its hard to find any job really thats why I joined the AF been trying to find a job since I was 17 and now 22 I gave up and did that

Yeah, but you should have been saving money and setting it aside instead of spending it. Shit happens.

At any rate, your stuff may not be worth what you paid but it's money. Get a new hobby. Like reading. Or making things you can sell. You have the answer, you just don't like it.

Maturity is sacrificing the wants for the needs. Make a better life instead of trying to run from your reality. Face your dragon.

I'm not to familiar with UEA, but how are educational opportunities?

Did you try university, or was it beyond your means to afford it?

What were you doing from 17-22?

Gotta hustle, bro!

You have a lot of old games. If you don't have money keep playing them or free to play games and spend your money on food. I've been playing hearthstone since beta and haven't spent a dime on it.

I just have HS education can't really afford college or anything else its hard but I try

Where's your other family, if you don't mind me asking?

Seems like you're just fending for yourself without an adequate support structure or mentors.

And it sounds you're in a very rural or economically depressed area.

I think the military would be a good option for and take advantage of any educational opportunities they allow to you to take advantage of.

What about neighbors? Do you know anyone in your neighborhood?

Where did you get money to buy video games? Doesn't make sense. PS4s aren't cheap when you're barely eating.

Surely the mosques help the needy. Go to one and say you have no food or money, and have been starving for a couple of days.

They will ask for his PS4 or his gaming PC.

But seriously there has to be somebody to help.
If I had a neighbor approach me, I would throw them some food out of the pantry really fast. Probably bring their family in and cook a fancy dinner for them.

Just go talk to some neighbors and religious groups. Guaranteed to get something to get through the next couple weeks.

OP, don't let the aunt who sheltered you, clothed and fed you--the person that made it possible for you to live comfortably enough to buy all these damned video games--starve.

Sell your things. I know it's difficult to give your main source of entertainment up, but do this for her and yourself. This is an opportunity for you to take control of the conditions you both are in.

If you still need help after selling your console, I can give you what I can via PayPal.

If you need immediate help now, just say so.

Aha, so you're not a national Emirati. From what I know most gulf countries offer free higher education for all its citizens.

Did try visiting masjids in your area? Most will offer you at least food and water. Some will even give you money if you're in dire need.

Damn, sorry to hear about this, OP. But you really should value getting a decent meal into you and your aunts stomach above your possessions. It sucks, but food is more important than letting the two of you starve.

How long is it until you can be brought up for the BMT? Is it a case of a few weeks or months?
