HD/3D Sly Cooper Collection incoming?

You're blasting them for choosing the Sly Raccoon games, then recommend The Getaway games yourself?

:lol

What he actually wanted to say was:

Thank god they are not porting one of Sony's worst franchises of last Generation, the Getaway.

Seriously.

seeing how people fapping and licking each other in that last L.A. Noire thread here in gaf , and now someone want that broken Getaway over Sly , I really don't know what is going on myself .

McNamara must using some crazy voodoo or something , since his games are crap but there are fans somehow.

the getaway series is a damn sight better than the two franchises chosen so far. a smooth framerate and tweaked controls would elevate the games to greatness.

If they add Move and 3D support this could be a very good showcase for their motion/3D push later this year.
1:1 cane pick pocketing would be awesome, but it'll never happen. Who do you think would be porting the collection anyway? Bluepoint again?

LA Noire has had so long, and so much cash, and Rockstar looking over the shoulder. Yeah, it could suck ass, Getaway is utter gash, but it could be incredible. I have hope for it.

you're just so misguided. it's like discovering a child raised by wolves that wipes its ass with poison ivy. you're so wrong it's comical.

That's the thing I was thinking about earlier today. IIRC, inFAMOUS was running on modified PS2 engine on PS3. And since GoW 1&2 were easily portable to PS3 (written in C+ and not in ASM) with the engine already running on PS3 to an extant I don't think it's gonna be a huge feat to pull it off. Now, SotC on the other hand...

It's gonna be really interesting to see how Sony handles this transition and whether it outsources it to external studio or if Sucker Punch themselves do the port job. Who knows the engine and the games better than them?

I think they'll just pawn the projects off to Bluepoint considering the fine job they did with the GoWC. It's not as though the studio appears to be working on anything else. :lol

Oh, this is neat. For some reason I completely missed the Sly games, even though I loved what Suckerpunch did with Rocket:Robot on Wheels on the N64. Looking forward to this. Though it's becoming more apparently why Sony really removed BC from the PS3... :lol

I would pay $100 or more for a Ico/Shadow/Guardian Tri-Pack Collector's Edition, especially if they let the art designers for the games get involved in designing the box it is sold in. Sony really needs to embrace their talent and incorporate them more into the PR of their games.

Add me to the list of people who never played Sly but will be very interested in this HD pack. Also, a Metal Gear HD collection is an absolute must as well.
