The population will be around 9 billion by then. Industrial Food production will not be able to keep up. People will have to resort to backyard gardens, bartering and raising small animals like gerbils to eat in order to survive.
In North America and most western states, the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer.
African countries will be denied aid and will be forced to fend for themsevles. This will be a great benefit to them as aid has been what was holding them back all this time.
No more money will go towards AIDS cure research. Money will be spent on education and prevention instead.
Most cars on the road will still be powered by petrol, but more and more people will use public transit and bicycles. There will not be a stigma attached to these modes of transportation as there is today.
Electric vehicles will still have little importance and cars continue to become more fuel efficient.
Iran will have another revolution and the good people of Iran will finally have a secular system of government where the mullahs have no real political power.
Clothing with build in electronics will become commonplace. People will charge their electronic clothing merely by moving about. Seemingly ordinary eye/sun glasses will actually be very advanced computers that beam an image directly into your eye. User interface will be controller with hand movements and eye gestures - there will be touch sensitive buttons on the tope of the frame as well. They will be able to scan a person and give you their facebook/myspace profile instantly (unless you are set on private).
Magazines will become obsolete and relagated to niche markets only as the cost to transport them has become too great.
Robots will walk among us.
A sentient computer will exist.
