There's a silence spell as well as a silence battlecry - the second one wouldn't be countered...
 
Is silence the only way to make the watcher card useful? "Can't Attack" is such a weird trait.

I'm guessing only actual spell cards count as spells, not battlecries from minion cards.

Silence, Defender of Argus, and Sunfury Protector.

I've always wanted to pick up a watcher in an arena deck for fun.

I don't think you can actually counter a battlecry, just react to it.
 
Opened an Arena pack, got VanCleef and Nozdormu from it. Pretty good.

BTW Haunted you still have not accepted my friend request.
 
I am actually tempted to just dust Nozdormu. Seems really useless. 8/8 for 9 mana and all it does is give the other play less time for his actions.

Something very satisfying about an opponent spamming emotes when they think they've got you backed into a corner and then you clear the board ezpz.
 
So the 150 gold for arena are a better value compared to the 100 gold for buying a pack directly if I'm looking to get some new cards?

Hah! Bizazedo, I had the same thought on Malygos when I got him. Found this deck on Hearthhead a few days back but haven't tried it out (Warlock):

Warlock:
0 Soulfire x2
1 Power Overwhelming x2
2 Demonfire x2
3 Shadow Bolt x2
3 Void Terror
4 Hellfire x2
5 Bane of Doom x2
6 Siphon Soul x2
8 Twisting Nether x2
9 Lord Jaraxxus

Neutral:
2 Loot Hoarder x2
2 Novice Engineer x2
3 Acolyte of Pain x2
4 Ogre Magi x2
5 Sylvanas Windrunner
6 Argent Commander x2
9 Malygos

Requires Jaraxxus as well though, and revolves around getting Malygos out and dropping two Soulfires on that same turn for 18 damage to finish the game. Soulfires can (potentially) cause you to discard the other, however, which is why I didn't try it yet. It looks like fun though.

I'd love to find a good priest deck build with Velen and/or Bloodmage Thalnos, as I have those two.

EDIT: Jesus fucking christ, they're still selling for ~$100 on eBay. That's really tempting. It's just playing a game a few months or weeks early... :|

Weird, I even did it twice. Got your request though so it's alright now.

Yeah I would suggest just investing the gold in Arena. You always get a pack and more depending on how well you do. Can be more gold, dust and even a card.
 
Did they send out a ton of keys recently? I saw prices of keys go down to 50$ now for NA when the last time I looked it was something crazy like 400

lol gotta love Nozdormu. Makes the other player panic so hard especially when it's near the end of their miserable life. Beat a warlock who thought the puny Lord Jarraxxius could save him, only to be buried under the sands of time.

I could craft 4 rares with that. or a legendary i actually want.

DE it, especially if you are just getting started.

I've only been able to get golden commons, doesn't grant enough dust to warrant losing the card.

My advice from experience:

Hold off til you decide the class for you. Some classes run effectively off very few rares or legendarys, others require several of each. I dusted a bunch of cards to make a priest deck, and now I mostly play shaman. So that was kind of a waste. Wouldn't do again for sure!
