i have a great warlock deck that cannot beat warlocks with murlocks, but seems to beat everything else

I hate murlocs, feels anti skill

I'm pretty sure Water Elemental is the exception not the rule, since the freeze effect is tied to the Elemental dealing damage. All the other cards have a nice "and" in the card text, which seperates damage and effect.

I was thinking that too, but I wouldn't mind seeing it changed to be things need to take damage to be frozen in general. It makes sense that if a minion has a shield up and blocks the spell, that it shouldn't be frozen. You're right though, it's not really a big secret or anything, I just wasn't ever hit by a water elemental before with 3+ armor, so I never gave it much thought.

Uggh just had a match against a Priest deck that seemed designed on stalling till fatique kicks in. Really unenjoyable to play against and a huge time waster, still won.

What are you using instead? I really like using warlock.

Does anyone know how Murloc rogue works out by the way?

Using trumps deck from the King of the Hill recently, basically an early game aggro build with sylvanas and rag thrown in if you are up against it, has good 1 turn kill potential too.

This is the deck, had to deviate from Trumps because I didnt own a few cards, also traded out 1 flame imp because I was finding some games I was losing and having a card that does -3 dmg on a deck with no heal is kinda bad news if you are behind.

So far ive won 24 lost 3, all to warlocks who used murlocs. This is in constructed casual so take that for what you will, in ranked im level 13 and used this 3 times with 3 wins. Credit goes to trump, i just stole it from him.

Thanks! I'll try that out myself.

Off the top of my head the deviations I made are as so

Trump had
2 Flame imps
2 priestesses
No Felgard
No Hellfire (I cant stand not having some aoe for backup, good for OTK aswell)
Thalnos
2 Knife Jugglers

Warlocks in general are anti-skill. Rush small creatures, soulfires, and power overwhelmings. It's pretty much the easiest deck to build in constructed.

As Warlock you still have to sort of manage your health and not over draw with it. Too many times I have seen Warlocks draw one too many times and put themselves into lethal territory without them knowing it.

LMAO Kripp got hit by the card stack bug hardcore. He still managed to win but he almost lost because of that bug.

I really need a Sylvanas and a Ragnaros, one or the other is in basically every strong constructed deck I see posted online.

It's a board control Warlock build by the look of things. I run a similar list. I prefer Shadowflame for my board clear since it has the upside of only killing one of my minions as well as hitting for 4, 5, 6, 7 as needed. Siphon Soul is a cheaper version of Black Knight.

Edit: Though, honestly, for the sake of board control, a solid minion like Mukla or something is better than Shadowflame. The deck has a ton of early drops but it's not really a straight aggro deck as it's designed more around trading favorably with Young Priestess + Blood Imp buffs and SSC/DID buffs.

I already have Rag and Sylvanas, I should aim for Thalnos next but Ysera sounds so much more fun

I don't have Rag or Sylv but I do have Ysera and I can tell you it's definitely worth it. She's been clutch for me in many tight games. It's even more fun if you have Faceless to make a copy giving you two dream cards each turn :p

The best is when I use her on my priest in a mirror match. The other priest will use MC and I'll just MC it back.

Get to crafting that Sylvanas then.
I prefer rounding out the collection by spending my dust on good rares and maybe the occasional epic.

I'm not at the point yet where I don't have anything worthwhile to craft except for the big legendaries.

I faced up against "that" Mage deck earlier today. Board is frozen, still frozen, frozen again, Flamestrike, Pyroblast, Ice Block preventing lethal, and then Ice Block again, winning by pinging me with his hero power. Completely ridiculous.

Did a Warrior draft which had some decent neutrals, but not enough good 2 drops and the only weapons were Upgrades. Went 3-3.. got a Counterspell, a pack with a golden Auctioneer and a Molten Giant, and 45 gold. I guess the giant isn't so bad, but it still just felt like a kick in the balls, especially since the Warrior I lost to killed me with a Grommash + Inner Rage combo. It was like trying to beat a constructed deck with my arena deck.

Later in the day I tried to build a couple of decks with the curve centered around the 4 mana mark, like the Sen'jin Shieldmasta, Chillwind Yeti, Spellbreaker and almost nothing above that unless it was really good. It didn't work at all with Warrior, but it was great with Shaman with the help of a couple Fire Elementals. But I kept feeling low on killing power, especially against Paladins who could just heal the shit out of themselves. I don't remember ever seeing people heal as much against me as they did today.

People have definitely started using more heal cards to hold off against the Mage nuke onslaught. I have lost a lot of close games because a clutch heal threw off the next turn lethal damage. Lay of Hands is surprisingly clutch.

That exact thing has happened to me once in that exact order.

I literally said out loud "this is the game we play".

been trying some different charge decks and rush decks with unconventional heroes after my windfury deck seems to be doing so well.
Warrior charge and druid murloc are pretty fun but super unstable. Will continue to experiment :)

LMAO!

Today I got hit by something that I never thought I would get hit by.

Shaman goes second, he pulls out Dust Devil and coins into another Dust Devil. I got nothing on my Shaman so I summon a useless Totem. Next turn he attacks for 12 damage. Next turn I get to summon a creature but it was irrelevant... he uses Flame Tongue Totem and finishes me off in the 3rd turn by hitting for 20 damage!

I was completely flabbergasted! I will never talk shit about Dust Devils ever again!

Ugh... I can't stand playing warlock in arena... why did I do this to myself... I could've picked mage but I wanted something different since I played mage within the past 3-4 runs... I could have picked priest but I am generally not a fan of the class.

edit:

Not my luck today in arena and rewards... got 5 cards all disenchanted. Only notable thing is I broke square even cause I got a pack and 50g.

I know right?

I am not really sure how they should change Ice Block to be honest... I realize now that making it cost more mana isn't really the right fix. Doesn't really change much aside from making it super obvious as to which secret it is.
Have it fall off at the beginning of your next turn.

^ assuming not serious

But it could just nullify 1 attack and absorb up to X amount (like 5) instead of complete immunity for the rest of the round.
Very serious. Being able to drop it on turn 3 and have it work on turn 12 is one of the big issues with it.
Wait you mean turn it into a regular spell?
Still a secret, but automatically falls off even if it wasn't activated, when your next turn starts. So you can't just fire and forget.

Somehow I'm 4-0 with the crappiest Warrior deck but it works because I just facerush people down. Another one with only one weapon (axe), but 2 Upgrades. No Weaponsmiths or Frothing Berserkers.

Does have 3 Cruel Taskmasters though.

Gonna admit it, I have started paying for Arena :( not sure I should feel bad as I have the money but still, it kinda highlights my inability to maintain a positive streak and get my gold back. Shame because constructed is going great, but I havent quite worked out what consistently does well in Arena, even when I mirror my constructed decks by 70-80% its still unreliable.

Trump's genuine reactions to getting smacked down in some of the highlight clips are one of the main reasons why he's my favorite Hearthstone streamer - really hilarious stuff. Didn't help that he was a hunter with a terrible hand. A nice forked lightning or cleave could've cleared that right up.

I never went above 10 in arena. But after I bought the ticket with real money, I went 12-2, 12-1 10-3 and 12-2 in a row. Currently sitting at 1100+ gold. I think I won't be playing this game for a while.

My best 2 runs have been paid for aswell

The conspiracy theorist in me wonders, the realist knows I probably try that much harder because its actual money.

I wonder if Blizzard would allow mods for this game.

I can only think of two things as of right now though, what's left in your deck and visual changes.(Boards, maybe cards, etc)

Probably not though, but if you could, what would you guys do mod wise? Or add on, if that makes more sense, since I'm thinking in a World of Warcraft sense.

I imagine they don't give you a quick access list of what's in your deck for the same reason you don't get a list of what's left in the dealer's deck at a poker table. Though this is only 30 cards, so I wouldn't be surprised if people actually did use a program or pad to track everything left in their deck to draw.

Boards were hinted at in a survey, and probably coming via DLC/IAP, so unlikely to see modding support. I think being a F2P game, they have to monetize what they can.

Does LoL/DOTA2 allow mods for you to make your own models/skins for units/etc? I guess if they did, maybe there's hope.

Riot just released the API but they dont officially approve of customs skins. There are workarounds where you cant implement custom stuff but it only ever works on your client, no-one else can see it.
