Blood imp really should buff at the start of the warlock's turn.

Depends. If I go second, I'd hate for the fact that my first Imp buff can't potentially save whatever other 1 drop I play.

Honestly, as much as I dislike the change, I do understand that +1 global Health from a super cheap minion like that is just seriously game changing for the early games. I'll get over it once I'm less sad that I didn't reach Legendary before the change
now I'll be forced to play a real deck amirite

Wanted to make this my new avatar, but you can't read any of the text at GAF avatar sizes. :/

Wouldn't it make more sense to make a blank card and then just after-the-fact put in the text at a more readable size?

edit2: done, idc too much about the text but I might enlarge it if I am bored

Thanks for the advice. I can't actually do anything besides "Play" and "Practice" right now anyway, so I guess it'll take a while to actually get anywhere.
You can dabble in Play for a bit and do your first Arena run as part of the tutorial, but one of the first things you should do after the tutorial is to unlock all the basic cards by leveling the classes to 10 against the AI.

You'll make enough gold for your first paid arena run easy just doing that.

So I have 160 dust right now, if I D/E my DiD's, Blood Imp's, Abusive Sergeants and golden DoA I'll have 1200 dust.

If I D/E one of my pyro's which I have two of I'll have 1600 for Antonidas or whatever legendary I want. Should I do it?

edit: think I'm gonna go back to my old wash avatar with the card layout you guys are doing.

What do you think?

Wow my first double legendary draft. Rag and Tinkmaster...let's see how this goes.

e: 1-3...not so good. Lost my 3rd game via MC'd rag. Not cool.

I'd say minions shuffling around is undeniably worse than ever. Anecdotally, for me, it was a rare occurrence that has now turned into a commonplace problem.

Indeed nearly every game since the patch I see a protector go down and only buff one minion, whether it be me or the opposition. Makes Shaman a nightmare to play, no control over Totem placement so end up buffing something pointless.

I am already seeing a difference from the DOA change. Druid dropped 2 grizzly bears and I couldn't use my DOA without HP to remove it. Actually in this case I had to use HP + blade flurry since he used power of the wild to make it 4/4. He conceded the next round after I dropped another molten giant which I was able to do because I took that 4 extra damage. That smells like balance.

Last game I played was a joke. Minions jumped repeatedly after something as benign as attacking. Seems like a fairly simple bug to fix, tbqh. And I'm not talking SimCity Offline levels of simple, I mean truly simple.

Hell earlier I brewmastered something and it went back to my hand behind another card not letting me select it ><

Got my first Legendary - Malygos. Put it in a Hunter deck I've been having fun with and it worked fairly well. Multi-shot a Boulderfist Ogre and Lord of the Arena for 8 damage each, and finished him off with a 10 damage Kill Command. Explosive Shot would be extra powerful too.

Sometimes that's the best pick out of 3 in Arena. And that's not all that uncommon.

It was actually ranked. Grizzly isn't really a bad card it just isn't especially a good one either. In a druid control deck I could see why he might find a 3/3 3cc taunt appealing to add. The stats are vanilla + taunt.

edit:
Just had battlenet update itself and restart.

Blizzard have definitely confirmed that we won't lose purchases going forward? I'm at the point where I need to throw down some coin but don't want it to go to waste

You'll get new random packs equivalent to the money you spent in the shop.

Worst case scenario (in that case, that is the only thing that anyone gets, all dust, cards, gold, everything is erased)... expected case scenario is everything just rolls over (they essentially say this on their Hearthstone FAQ).

Man, I just opened 3 packs and I got 11 repeats! Such a bummer.

I still have a good 20 commons to get, and plenty of which I have only one =/

Got today's pack and in it was a golden blood Imp. So I dusted that sucker for its 400.

Now wondering what I should craft with it. I'm still missing a few common staples here and there. There are a couple rares I could use. Or should I go out with a bang and make a Epic that is useful in just about every deck?

I had no clue I had 5 Dark Iron Dwarfs. $$$ Tons of dust for 3 commons. Not to mention the 2x spare Pyroblast DEs - with those I have a little over 1k dust. Not sure what to spend it on though - I spend most of my time playing Arena now since I've been doing well lately - haven't run out of gold at the rate I consume it in awhile between high win finishes on average and daily quests.

This is why I regret just automatically D/E'ing extra cards, I should have known better :/

Don't you just love (or hate) Thoughtsteal? The Rag in the middle, it's not mine, haha. The Hogger is though. Poor Hogger got hexed, but Rag was able to randomly hit his sole target for 8.

7jxSmix.png

Don't feel too bad for him though, because he had two more hexes, hexed my (well his) Rag after it hit him for 8, and hexed my un-popped 4/1 scarlet crusader on the same turn, then followed it up with his own Rag on his next turn. Too slow though, but that time it was down to a holy fire and single attack for the game.

Not every day you get to Thoughtsteal a Ragnaros in the arena, so I wanted to share the fun. :)

just got an invite this morning - i suck at this but it sure is fun as hell. was never into magic or anything, but this is great

I just played against the highest value Gorehowl in Hearthstone!

Dude started off by using it to kill my Shieldmasta.

Then he upgraded it back into a 7/1 and killed my Fire Elemental.

After that a Yeti, a Silverhand Knight , an Abomination, an Argus, a Silverhand Squire and a Loot Hoarder. That's 8 kills off of one Gorehowl!

He still lost because he pretty much killed himself trying to get some board control. That's about 27 hit points worth of damage he took himself with the Gorehowl but he mitigated around 14 with armor.

Double post but the servers are very wonky now. I do not recommend playing Arena right now.

I almost got a disconnect but I kept playing. Then I went 2 straight disconnects despite having a Shaman deck with 3 Fire Elementals. My one legit lost was to a Mage with 3 Fireballs and a Pyroblast LOL! I got two wins though which were pretty easy.

Okay, some interesting things happened during my recent playing of the game that I was able to record. Hopefully I can show some people what happened.

1. I've been trying to get better with the Warlock. I think I'm understanding it more and more and I do hope I'm getting better at it. Thing is that the RNG utterly hate the very soil I walk on and keeps giving me the kinds of draws that makes me want to find the nearest kitten and punch its lights out! Seriously, giving me either nearly all spell cards that do jack shit in my situation, or no low cost cards which I do have in my deck. Maybe it's my deck not being refined enough, but I get a few wins at Rank 20, then someone comes along and just levels me (and I can't count how many times I've gotten a priest at that rank).

2. Lord Jaraxxis, if played right (when you have relative control of the board), can be a wrecker of a Legendary. Spawning 6/7 (I think I got that right) demons PER TURN starting on the next turn (unless you had a Summoning Portal and/or you managed to keep a Pint Sized Summoner alive long enough for Jaraxxis to benefit from it), constant 3-point attacks per turn, and it can save your ass if you get low on health and he suddenly shows up in your deck. I brought a mage down from nearly full health to nothing in a matter of a few turns with it.

3. Right now, there is a bug which is effing troublesome for a few classes especially. The minions have a tendency to "re-position" themselves when you use them. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but the end result is that it can wreck the plans of anyone that has a card that uses the "adjacent" mechanic. I used Argus, meaning to buff a Sea Giant with Taunt. Nope! In trying to position him to get the Giant and a Spellbreaker, in the process of the "putting card down" animation, the entire thing switched around and it got a Raid Leader and the Spellbreaker instead. Still two minions, but not the two minions I was trying to give the buff to, nor the two minions I was telling the game to give them to. I still won that game despite that (I was in control of the board at that point, anyway).

4. But unfortunately, the very next game is where I think I discovered a HUGE bug. Either that or Argus doesn't give Demons that buff. Maybe I didn't read far enough into the mechanics of this card, but either way, it effed me over. The only two cards on the board I had were a Sea Giant and a Dread Infernal. two card that would protect me a bit from someone who had a TON of control of the board thanks to Illidan Stormrage, three of it's additional minions, a Questing Adventurer, a Blood Imp, and a Shattered Sun Cleric. I put down Argus in between the Giant and Infernal. It buffs the Giant, BUT COMPLETELY IGNORED THE INFERNAL! The thing is that this was the only play I had at the time, and would it have gave the Infernal the buff, I might've survived to see another turn since he used nearly everything to rid of the Giant. Maybe it's not supposed to buff class minions or demons or something. I don't know. If it IS supposed to, though, then I got screwed royally because I lost that game, obviously.

Yeah, major bugs, assuming such is what I encountered!

Argus and other adjacent buffers have been more bugged than usual this patch.

Normally before what would happen is that the minions would shuffle around when I played Argus but at least the ones I wanted would get buffed. Now only one of the minions I want gets buffed, the other one is a random one and sometimes it doesn't buff it at all if there are two.
