I'm looking forward to this, but I do have concerns..

There seems to be a real lack of exploration, which is a real shame considering the beauty of some of the environmments.

Also, from the videos and walkthroughs we've seen, it seems like there is very little gameplay in comparison to the amount of cutscenes. I hope this isn't the case. As good as the story and graphics are, I really want to play a game - it's reminding me somewhat of MGS2

Well, stating an opinion is fine, but, coming to this thread just to say "wow, this game doesn't interest me at all" is a bit pointless.

I mean what's the idea ?

Unless you're the kind of person how would go, let's say, to a macdonald's just to say "Hello guys, I don't like burgers and fries" I think you'd pretty much get the same reactions.

People are complaining that it's the Gamers Day demo which probably 97% of us have NOT played?!?

I have been salavating at playing that demo. So what if it's 10 mins, I'll be playing it over and over till the game comes out (stopping at times to play Lair and Warhawk =P)

Yes I am a gamer, let me clarify. Obviously, gameplay is what makes something a game instead of a movie. I like being able to play parts of the story, instead of just observing it. It helps me get more immersed in the story if I feel like I have some control over it.

However, the actual depth, uniqueness, originality, and fun factor of the gameplay for me ranks way lower than the story. If you give me a choice between a game that has the best gameplay ever, but a crap story vs. a game with a great story, but painful gameplay, I would pick the great story. But some type of gameplay is a must for the immersion I mentioned earlier.

Don't be dissing blade runner, that was a fun game.

But I too look forward to this game. But unlike the other poster, I feel a game is best when storyline and gameplay is at least acceptable. The game will probably not feel the same as God of War but, it should be a good first from NT. I just hope they provide a good demo, because a poor one can just shoo away fans.

But regardless of how it plays I'll probably still purchase it, it played well at E3 2006. If it hasn't improved since then I would be shocked.

I love the art design, atmosphere, animations, CG acting, etc.

But the gameplay...I hope it's good, if it's similar to GOW then I'm cool with it. It doesn't have to be Ninja Gaiden level of awesome combat to be fun. I've been cautiously optimistic about this game since the day it was shown, hopefully I enjoy the demo.
