Hell is Us |OT| The world speaks. Listen closely.

I thought it looked great but then i realized there is no enemy variety or boss fights. And it seems like the ending was pretty lackluster. Maybe one day.. demo was okay
It's a puzzle and exploration game primarily. If you go in thinking it's a soulslike you're gonna have a bad time (the only real similarity is use of stamina in combat)

It's only a 20h game, I didn't find the need for 15 bosses and 47 enemy types.

Agreed. The amount of enemy types doesn`t bother me at all and there are so many games with many bosses as well that I dont miss them.

The game as a whole feels quite unique like nothing I`ve played before with good performance, visually pleasing and great atmosphere. No bugs to speak of either.

Great game.

Just finished this yesterday with 25 hours on the clock. Didn't manage to 100% it but came close. It's easily one of the most engrossing games I've played in recent memory. The world building and writing are just outstanding and combined with the sense of discovery, as you unravel the story one layer at a time, make it very hard to put down.

The combat, while flashy, was more of a side attraction though. But the overall presentation along with the unique atmosphere more than make up for that. It's a must play imo.

I really shouldn't buy this now, what with Reanimal and RE: Requiem right around the corner. But damn if y'all aren't putting me to the test. Anyone know if progress from the demo carries over?

Edit: Progress in the demo does not carry over. So I guess it's a good thing that several months have elapsed since I played it.

Picked this up on sale and played through it over the past week. I absolutely loved the storytelling and the sense of discovery in this game - the lack of hand holding really reminded me of Fallout 1 & 2. Also had fun figuring out puzzles but the amount of backtracking required to solve some of them in a game with only one fast travel point (the APC) was a bit much. And as most have already mentioned, the combat was extremely lacking.

Lastly, the ending was indeed underwhelming and abrupt. Act 3 as a whole felt rushed, really.

Hope Rogue Factor get to make a sequel that improves on this game's shortcomings but considering Nacon's financial problems, they might not get the chance.

This game deserves a sequel so bad.

Just for me I need them to:
-Add more enemy variety and bosses
-Make combat challenging and skill based
-Buzz this dudes hair

Unless its using a lot of Unreal assets from the store, it looks quite an expensive game to make. I think last time i checked (which was a while ago), the game only had around 1500 user reviews on Steam, which isnt good.

I doubt we will get a sequel.
