Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Will Be Released on August 8 2017 | New Trailer

They've been talking about this game for so long but I still don't really have a grasp of what it's trying to be.,, even 50% of their release date trailer is a dude talking to camera about the development circumstances and asking for support without explaining why I should give a shit about the game on its own merits.
Viking schizophrenia experience. They have been banging on about portraying mental illness in that kind of setting.

I'm not completely in love with what I've seen of this game, but the passion behind the team, and the sheer goodwill they've demonstrated by having a modest pricing will definitely get my support.

I have loved all of Ninja Theory's games, Enslaved is one of most underrated games of the last decade, so I'm definitely day 1 for this.

Preordered! (PC)
I've loved everything these guys has made, love the cinematic approach, and the cinematics are usually on a whole other level compared to other devs.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this.
I enjoyed Heavenly Sword apart from it's ridiculously difficult last boss and TWINGY TWANG, and I loved DmC, but I wasn't a huge fan of Enslaved.

They're obviously not Itsuno's team at Capcom, but they can definitely make some fun action games.

There's literally an hour long documentary explaining exactly what it's supposed to be...

Really? There's countless Dev diaries explaining everything about the game..

Reminder to anyone who's thinking of preordering this and other games on PS4 that there's a promotion starting on the 9th where you get $15 back if you spend over $100.

I've been interested in this for ages, and at that price I think the game will do really well. It's nice to see a game that isn't £40 with £20 of DLC.

Wait, only about 20 people made this game? Was Ninja Theory always this small studio or was there some layoffs? Unless this was made by a subdivision. They have quite the track record if the studio really has been that small the whole time and they pumped out Heavenly Sword, Enslaved, and DmC.

No. This is just a small team within the studio.

Aye.
Like many independant mid sized studios, what brings the money to pay for the everyday bread is "mercenary" work (subcontracting for big publishers).

So glad they were able to self finance their passion project though.

It's like people don't want to learn about the game.
Or they want gameplay trailers—like Rockstar Games delivered at Red Dead Redemption for instance—that explain everything in every unnecessarily detail.

I've watched like two dev diaries and have a pretty good idea of what I'm into when getting this game. Day one for me.

Will pre-order after E3 to see what I can all put in under the spend 100 deal. Hopefully some new preorders go up or another E3 sale.

or maybe it's like people feel it shouldn't require an hour-long documentary to explain a game? i knew what types of games bayonetta, last of us, & bioshock were gonna be simply by watching a couple of 2 minute trailers of each :) ...

or is this game just so 'elaborate' that a 2-minute trailer can't get across the gist of it?...

So curious as to the gameplay. I've not seen enough of it to really make an opinion about whether I want this game or not.

Those aforementioned games are kind of simple at heart...

Interested in this game, and would love more devs to bring solid AA experiences back. Maybe I'll get it, when I have money for this. Need to get Switch titles first and foremost.

You will get trailers once the game has gone gold and they're preparing to release it.

Is it on YouTube at all? I can't bare their website.

I am grabbing this one. I kinda forgot about it, but I was following the development during the early months after the announcement.
