If only they would think further ahead than the next quarterly report.

Funny how a tiny lil protest over PSN turned into restricting all online PS games from those countries.

I will sit here and chuckle about it while playing those games, signed into PSN, not giving af.

The protest was caused by the restriction.
Not the other way around.

lol no. the protest was about the psn sign in. notice how there's a lot less furor now? the vast majority of protesters don't give a shit about those countries that got locked out, they were just a bullet point to show how evil sony was. if there wasn't such a big negative reaction, sony would have just kept looking the other way as people made fake psn accounts like a lot of us that buy games from different regions have been doing for years.

They were about all of it.
Admittedly it did start out as a revolt against having a PSN account. It however significantly escalated once folk found out about the country restrictions. That was the point where the review bombing took off.

The reason people aren't complaining as much anymore is because the protest lost and their is little anyone can do.
Arrowhead was used and it would be unfair to punish them though those means again as it is completely out of their hands.

It's Sony being Sony once again.
Nothing can be really done aside from voting with your wallet.
That or future releases from Sony may get review bombed. Who knows.

I am skeptical that they will try to add PS+ just because they delisted Ghosts in the regions without it.
With some people that were able to get refunds for Helldivers 2 citing they can't make a PSN account in their country probably had more reason to the delisting in those countries to try and stop some people who would have played the game and try and get a refund citing they sold a game that can't be fully played since PSN is not in their country.

The accounts thing is mainly to prop up the PSN MAU. Apparently the account was always supposed to be required on PC but for technical issues wasn't.

But I think Sony is seeing something that they don't like wrt MP being free on PC but not on console.
