So let me explain my situation first. I'm off traveling across several countrys right now for my business (organizing freerunning exhibitions) and have little time for gaming at the moment in any meaningful way. It will be like this till the end of October which is why this is even a thing for me.
whynotboth.gif totally applies here and I agree with it. I am most likely going to have both eventually, the price will be the same for both for me and buying both isn't an issue. What is really limited right now for me is time.
The way I like to game is pretty intense. I love space operas and when I get into one, I usually like to focus on it for a period of time both for pve and pvp. I was a huge Halo fan, 100%'d 1 and 2 on Legendary and played the hell out of 3 and 4 as well. I lived the pvp in all of them, the gameplay and setting were everything I loved, I also had a pretty good group of friends that played all of them regularly which really helped my enjoyment. However, that was quite some time ago now and a lot of those memories are kind of a distant past.
Destiny was the first game I played that gave me that rush again. I felt despite some of the flaws in the story telling, the core game was so tight, so epic in scale and looked so good in a setting I loved, I couldn't stop playing, I probably spent several hundred hours in vanilla pre-dlc Destiny, collected almost every exotic, maxed most of them out, Gally was my first exotic drop actually I didn't realize at the time what I had haha. And I'll be honest, after the first DLC I was a little burned on how little it provided so I dabbled in it a bit but my interest after that died off. I haven't picked it up for some time now and skipped the second DLC pack entirely.
But now TTK is here. Everything I'm hearing from reviews, gamers, and here on GAF drives my hype just a bit higher as everything I felt critical about seems to be fixed (in game lfg would be nice but I digress) to be honest, I would probably start fresh in the game, and spend a Massive amount of time doing everything I missed along with all the new stuff. It's an MMO version of Halo to me for heavens sake, and it seems to be in a complete state finally.
On the other hand, Halo 5 will be here. Halo 5. My hype for this had been building for years, and the more I hear the more It grows. I was a little hesitant about the mobility changes, boosters, dashes what not, the ADS being added to the game. Definitely bummed about the local coop being removed from this iteration (local coop halo was a staple for me) But reviews have been high about the multiplayer at least, and the new trailers look so good. The fact that all maps will be available to all players is huge to me. I wish all games did that and the new war zones look amazing! If I choose this path, I'll likely get MCC (which I skipped due to being broken) and play through all the campaigns again, and then dive headfirst into 5 to complete the cycle and stay for the multiplayer.
So my dilemma. Time is now an issue for me more than it ever has been. During my down times at the end of October I will need to choose one of these to soak my brain in for the foreseeable near future. Both will likely do the job well. But I am limiting myself to just one for now due to my time constraints.
Help me decide guys.

This isn't meant to be a 'spew negative vitriol' thread for the game you hate most, so I would appreciate it if we left that out of the discussion. Rather, I would really like to hear from the die hard fans of each why you love the game of your choice. This is also my first thread so be gentle, If I'm doing anything taboo for GAF let me know.
