As a recently alumni, I still get homesick for the days of old drinking and debauchery after finishing my work. My school UIllinois, is the site of one of the largest pits of drinking despair on March 6th known as Unofficial St Patrick's day. Another alumni friend an I plan to take a visit down during this weekend to meet up with old acquaintances and the like.

However, we are at a loss on what to put on the back of our green tuxedo tshirts. Anyone got any clever colloquialisms to adorn our classy selves with? Keep in mind we also will be wearing tops hats and carrying around canes. It's always sunny references are double as welcome.

St. Patrick's Day: The only day of the year where it's socially acceptable to be piss drunk before noon.

It's not very catchy though..

"Irish me, I'm kiss" Or something jumbled up so it makes sense to all the drunks running around trying to read your shirt.

Haha, nice. Currently a senior at the UIllinois. One of my buddies turns 21 like 2 days before so we're celebrating his Unofficial birthday and Unofficials at the same time.

Here's a cool Irish toast I saw someone don a year ago on a shirt:

"There are many good reasons for drinking,
One has just entered my head.
If a man doesn't drink when he's living,
How in the hell can he drink when he's dead?"

Opress me, I'm Irish.

:lol It's a shite state of affairs.

This is from a song:

If you had the luck of the Irish
You'd be sorry and wish you were dead
You should have the luck of the Irish
And you'd wish you were English instead.

Well, if you see some classy gents with green tuxedo shirts in the 4th and green area, that's most likely going to me, heh.

Now going back to the alcoholic thing, is that even necessary? Someone drinks so they're an alcoholic? Sweet logic there.

I think the joke you are missing is that wearing a green tuxedo shirt on St. Patty's Day is like dressing up as the Joker for Halloween 2008.

What bar is on 4th and Green? I can never remember it's name but I used to live around there (years and years ago). I mostly plopped my ass at Brothers when it opened up my last year there.

I think I've been hanging around Rangers and Hearts fans for too long considering the first thing that came to mind.

Well, Geovantis is on 4th. Ihop right across the street. Remember the Burger King that used to be around the block as well?

Mostly a Murphy's, Firehaus, and Brothers guy myself. Maybe revisit the newly renovated White Horse Inn that day as well. Fuck it, might as well go on a drunken barcrawl throughout the day.

In my four years there, i never saw anyone with a green tuxedo shirt. Most people nowadays go with the bar shirt that supposedly gets you a deal, or a standard green Illinois shirt. Most of my friends hate Brothers, even though that's my favorite bar as it's a step above the frat owned bars. I'm most likely going to a couple of my friends apartment parties (all in the 4th and green area) to start the morning off. The only bars I intend to visit are Murphy's and Brother's, but we'll see what happens.

Murphy's, that's the one I couldn't remember. I had my first legal bar beer at White Horse.
