Help with graphics issue on new PC

Hi guys. I'm unable to find the PC help thread, so sorry for creating a new one...

I just bought a new rig today and I'm having a video issue with it (I didn't build it myself). It's an Athlon II X2 250 running on a Biostar N68S3B board, with an integrated GeForce 7025/nForce 630a GPU.

Whenever I watch videos it gets horizontal lines (particularly when playing hidef content), like here:

And now it has begun doing this on both Chrome and Firefox (it's happened while running flash applications as well as when loading just GAF!):

The lines show up just in the window, not outside. Is it a busted videocard? Will the whole motherboard have to be replaced? Or could it be something else? I've already updated the drivers. I'm not too well-versed on PCs and am short on time... sorry if it seems obvious.

That what I thought too, but I got the same problem after reinstalling the new drivers, did it twice too.

Did you run a driver cleaner before reinstalling 1st?

Yah, same thing, it happened when I first built the computer, but it cleared up, but happened again.

It's just random, some times I don;t get it for a month, then today it was fucking up all day until now.

Very likely driver problems. I'd make absolutely sure you were using the latest correct drivers.

Here's a thread from two years ago for what looks like a similar problem:

I just tried that, and it messed up even more. I changed the setting back, and it's even worse off. lol.

I updated the drivers with the Java tool on the Nvidia site that picks the newest update for you.

I'll try a driver cleaner and then reinstalling I guess. Is there any specific one that's recommended?

Edit: no good. Same issue as before.

The computer started doing this with my 480p AVI camera videos (old technology) before I even installed the motherboard/nVidia drivers from the included disc. Any other suggestions for things to tweak, perhaps? I'm really surprised a decent CPU with Windows 7 had that sort of issue from the beginning.

Just a bump (one and only) in case anyone can help before I'm forced to try to get an exchange or refund on this. Thanks!

My card started doing this a while after the shitty superglued fan got busted and I just said fuck it. Turn your Video Acceleration to its lower levels and it may resolve. If that's the case, I guess buy a new card?

(I needed an excuse for the new Radeon.)

This sorta thing looked familiar, the symptoms... it was when my graphics card could not process the load or whatever due to overheating

Warranty. I'd ask about your cooling situation, but if your GPU is toast already, just warranty it. See if they'll dropship you a board and a return slip.

lol. Thanks guys. Considering that I just bought this to use it for non-gaming needs, I'll hold off on buying a separate GPU and get an exchange on this, since it seems like it's bad.

I didn't find any settings for hardware acceleration, but seriously, the problems began 20 minutes after I had installed Windows on it. I shouldn't have to lower my settings like this with a system that should run just fine. Probably just a shitty motherboard...

Edit 11/27 (don't want to bump): Ended up just getting another motherboard with an integrated GPU... works fine with no issues. Just this week also upgraded to a Radeon HD 4850 card, and I'm surprised how much better Windows Aero runs on it. Thanks for the advice, Sarcasm.

Yeah warranty of a Cheap GPU. A cheap GPU though will honestly be better than the integrated GPU. For normal performance wise. Not coming as a gaming perspective.
