I had problems with the Routh suit too, namely: a) the narrow collar and the way the cape attaches to it (at the time, I believe I said something to the effect of "looks like a towel tucked into a t-shirt"); b) the size of the S-symbol (which was an overstated problem once seen on film, I'll admit); c) the muted color scheme (again, an overstated problem); and d) the redundant S-symbol on the belt (which DC tried but abandoned in the comics).

Even with all that, I prefer its clean (and by "clean" I mean "simple", not "clean" as in "not dirty") look to the new busy costume they're throwing at us. Its overall look says "this is Superman".

Suit looks fine to me except the low-rise trunks. They should be hiked up like Urkel.

The gauntlets and side accents are in there on the bank vault image that was released a while ago.

The guy in the motion capture suit is clearly (going to be) some kind of giant/monster judging by the giant stick protruding out of the top of his head with the 'eye level' for the actors.

I wonder if it's going to be some Superman villain or an alien henchman?

One of steroids using friends eats around 6000 a day. It's disgusting.

I think the costume looks great. Henry looks cool as Superman also. I just don't get all the cape-less shots. I guess those shots are of a scene walkthrough? Regardless, I'm on board with this new take, at least as far as actor and costume.

But damn, June 2013 is a ways off...
