I'll never stop feeling bad about what happened to Garfield. He's easily the closest we ever got to classic Spidey on film but they just completely pissed that away with that second film.

Garfield got work with Scorsese and Mel Gibson shortly after and now he's working with the director of It Follows. He'll be alright.

That film was horribly cast and directed. They didn't know their asses from their elbows on that but it's in Marvel's hands now so it's for the best.

It's a strange misconception how dorky Peter Parker actually is. He was only ever a super dork pre-spider-bite. After that he was quite charming even during Ditko and Lee's run - the bite didn't fix his Parker luck though. Garfield was the closest live action portrayal to 616 (TASM1) IMO.

MCU Spider-Man despite what the studio might say actually is much closer to Ultimate Spidey than 616 Spidey. So I disagree about the casting being wrong, it's just that the films just didn't execute shit properly.

Would you also enjoy seeing the shitstorm if T'Challa were recast with, say, Mark Wahlberg? Or is it only okay to recast white superheroes because white people already have enough and it's time for us to sit down and listen?

Eh, I can at least enjoy ASM2 up through the Times Square battle since the movie up that point is mostly ok outside of the villains and that putrid garbage Zimmer calls music. That's more than I can say for any of the MCU Spidey stuff.

Reign of The Superman would've been a sick MoS2. Cavill, would've been a good cyborg Superman who destroys Coast City then they could've introduce Green Lantern, and Superman returns at the end like in the real steel deal with the black suit.

This whole DC Universe is the biggest turd I´ve ever seen in cinema history. Such a complete failure on every level. How can execs be so inept at creating a universe with such iconic characters such as Superman, Batman, Harley Quinn and Joker? Cavill, Affleck, Robbie, Gadot and the others should just get the fuck out of this thing before it implodes and hurt their careers.

I don't mind race swapping if you're choosing the best actor for the job. But the reasoning behind it is usually "no more whites". Like that supposed witcher casting. "We're looking for a girl of any race but white".
That is wrong and i hope this people fail. But at this point i look at this shit and i'm not suprised anymore. I just laugh.

This is so ridiculous. How could a white man play the King of an African country that has been isolated since its existence? Nobody says a chinese dude should play Henry VIII. It's more precise to bring up Angelina Jolie playing Fox in Wanted. Or that white kid who played Son Goku in the Dragonball movie. Or Emma Stone playing an Asian woman, etc etc.

I was never a fan of them Rebooting Spider Man, but Garfield and Stone worked, they was fantastic on screen together and. Garfield was a very good Spider Man.
I can easily watch his Spider Man as Much as Tobeys, true TASM2 had problems but I enjoyed it and I wanted to see more.
Marvel's Spider-Man in the MCU was a dream come true but I honestly can't see myself watching Homecoming again.
Holland was ok but the Film was shit and only saved by Michael Keaton.

Recasting Superman as with a black actor makes about as much sense as my T'Challa example. There's no reason to do it aside from pure stupidity, unless you want to make a movie about Calvin Ellis or Val-Zod, which is far more interesting than simply making Clark black.

This makes me happy, as it's one more step towards killing this horrible mutant WB has made.

The DC universe is awesome, the movie universe Snyder and WB made is beyond horrible. They picked the completely wrong aesthetic, casting has been beyond horrible, and the scripts are some of the worst garbage ever written for comic book movies. They badly need to kill this and start fresh.
