Playing catchup with the last couple months worth of Gokaiger. Dat Ahim backstory episode.
The original shows are more available now than they ever were before Power Rangers. That's mostly to do with the rise of the internet, sure, but I doubt there'd be as big an audience, or as much interest in subtitling the shows, if people hadn't grown up with Power Rangers. It'd be even more niche than it already is.
I'm not saying people can't not like Power Rangers. There's plenty of Power Rangers stuff I don't like, and I consider myself a PR fan. I just don't get people having such strong feelings about something that doesn't really affect them.

On episode 46 of Kamen Rider OOO..Almost finished, I can't wait to finally stop living in the past!
The running joke is that Decade FFR'ed OOO into three Kamen Rider OOO TaTaTa ToToTo and BaBaBa Combo, lol.
Rider's themes and gimmics lately are quite unpredictable, yeah. Trains? USB Drives? Medals? Space? This is what waiting for the next show so exciting.
Music is a bit close to Precure's territory XD but yeah I'd like to see that.

He's like the kid villain from Jetman, except taller and with crazy hair.
He'd fit just fine in a Spy Kids movie.

I'm finally on Kamen Rider Fourze. I think it's pretty awesome so far but I immediately noticed the American high school stereotypes are thrown around ALOT. I mean come on jocks, cheerleaders, goths, burger meal (wtf?) and characters walking around eating potato chips and thats just the first 4 episodes lol. I dig the show alot though I just thought all of that stuff is pretty funny and weird.

If that was what they pulled off for the final battle for the secondary-villain, I can't even imagine what they will do for the finale. The first half of the episode was very much like the Dekaranger finale, actually.

Man, that Gokaiger. DRAMATIC SLOWMO was a tad silly, but a fantastic episode.
I guess we need to see what the next few weeks hold, but at this point I feel like anything they do after this is going to be an anticlimax. I don't even care about them killing the emperor at this point. There's no satisfaction from a villain who turned up less than a dozen episodes before the end of the show and then spent all that time sitting around doing nothing.

Agreed, it looks like all the interesting villains are done.
Insarn basically does nothing except shooting that giant beam. Ackdos Gils amazingly does less than his apparently idiotic son. With all the tributes to old characters, the villains really did take a backseat :/

Mech battles are also lacking this season.
I guess it's easier to make more old suits vs making more old mecha suits.
Even the finishers were pretty lacking this season. Nothing beats shinkenger god ray in recent memory.
The lack of clusterfuck gattai is one thing, but not everyone liked them though. As for finishers, I like Gai's normal mode finishers, though underused in favor of his Gold Mode. I also realized that Gokaigers didn't have a midseason powerup. Guess they met the toy sales quota without adding them!
Anyway Gobusters look promising:

I am going to keep my hype low for Go-Busters. After a great season, the following season always end up disappointing me.
I thought the mecha fights this year were outstanding, actually. Especially that one for the Ohranger tribute episode.

I initially was thinking this, but when word came out that Kobayashi Yasuko was handling the writing I got hyped. Shinkenger is my favorite sentai I've seen so I'm really looking forward to Go-Busters. Also, I absolutely love their suit design, both transformed and not.

"Excessive" is a pretty good word for most of the Battlizers, really.
The Super Samurai trailer looks alright, but it's still Samurai. I haven't minded what I've seen of the show, but unless it really starts doing its own thing in this second half I'll continue being fairly indifferent towards it.
