here is where we list games where people get LIT ON FIRE

I know Zelda has been mentioned already, but Link's Awakening had a bit of a twist in terms of setting things on fire. You could throw magic powder on chickens and they were burst into flames. Cats too.

Q4 online has the napalm gun. I am not sure if it makes a flame effect on characters though. It might just burn the ground.

Pirates! - in one of the sword fight scenes the captain ignites his arm falling by a fire and dives into the ocean!

Guild Wars - I know there is a skill that bursts people into flames somewhere.

Okay, it didn't technically set you on fire, but it did kill you. And it was awesome, you can wipe out a ton of people with a single bomb.

Though I couldn't find any pics online of Dirk being burned-it did happen in the game in spots though. One I vividly remember is not pulling out the magical sword in time and being burned to death by the dragon.

Man I use to play that game alot in my ye old arcade years.

Tomb Raider series, out of those random vents in the floor that you would always have to shut off. I loved how you could never rid yourself of the flames until you got into water :\
 
The Punisher had quite a wicked implementation of the flamethrower. enemies screamed soooo much while running around on fire, i felt evil using it. then they laid there burnt to a crisp

such an unusual game

He was actually censored/omitted in certain versions, including the Japanese one I believe.

God yes. I remember when the multiplayer demo first came out I used to get my friends to all pick the flamethrower and rush the enemy together. If you didn't have at least a GeForce 3 and 1GHz processor your framerate would crawl.
